I am fearful that I am getting the dreaded lifter knock and want to have this checked out by a "reputable" dealer. Does anyone have a recommendation, preferably on the North Shore of Ma.
Thanks,
I live in Ma. and in a town that uses straight salt without any sand when treating the roads, so when I purchased my truck, I had planned on doing an undercoating. I used Blaster Surface Shield, and it took three cans to do all the undersides of the truck. After spraying it on, I did wipe down...
'22 JTR with 45K on it. I got in the truck on Saturday and started it and the radio cut out and started a weird phone timer that said "my number". The timer was not counting right either as you can see in the video, and neither the screen controls or the manual power button would override what...
My truck makes a creak or flex sound when I drive over things at an angle, like going over a speed bump at a 45* angle. This seems to only occur when the doors and roof are off.
I don't like it and it seems wrong, is this something others experience and if so, is something wrong?
I am pretty sure this is condensation, though I wanted to ask because the drip started immediately after starting the truck and it had been sitting for 9 hours.
I was cleaning my truck this weekend and found a tear in my seat. I am not sure what to do other than get it reupholstered which I am sure will not be cheap not to mention finding someone good to do it and matching the leather.
Anyone else go through this?
I am looking for some recommendations for some trails in Ma. that are beginner/intermediate to do some off roading. Hoping for trails that are somewhat maintained so that I don't scratch the hell out of my truck. Stuff around me beats that bag out of the paint that I then have to repair.
Thanks!
No clunking or humming at all. I did this because it is called for in the manual, thankfully there no issues, sounds or otherwise that drove me to change the oil.
There was no other marking that I could see.
Below is a picture of what I was able to collect from the oil with a magnet, this was done after both front and rear gear oil was changed.
Thanks for the replies. The rain moved out and I was able to do the front afterwards. Below is a picture of an earth magnet I swirled in the oil form the front and rear that I caught in the drain pan.
I am glad I did it this and happy to not find anything looking too bad.
