My 2023 makes a similar noise but only once it’s warm. I’ve been told by the dealer on four occasions either they don’t hear anything or it’s normal. I noticed it at 1,000 miles. No codes. Out of curiosity, when it’s cold crank it and see if the noise isn’t present until the oil temp reaches...

I’ve owned over 25 cars in my life. I’ve never…..never…..never had a problem with fuel splash at the pump ever before. I find it hard to believe that you have two other brand/model cars that splash fuel like the Gladiator potentially will, with respect.

This is a good explanation, however, it shouldn’t be an issue. The engineers should have designed this flaw out of the equation. They’ve likely had at least three years of complaints to address the issue. I say three years because they very well could have addressed it in the 2024 and 2025 model...

I just found this thread. Noticed mine making same noise with same play when I used the bar to slide out from under my truck. 10,000 mile and haven’t even had it really off road yet. I’m guessing this is just how they are from the factory? Thanks.

Edit: I misread this at first. I’ve always heard of the 500 mile oil change but personally I have never bothered. I am religious about changing oil every 5,000 miles when using synthetic.

Hopefully they eventually realized there was something scuffing the paint from the factory on the frames and made that correction after 4 years. lol. Looks clean.

All four corners of the frame on damn near every gladiator on my local lot in Tennessee is missing paint. It’s just a question of whether the rust had set in or not. My gladiator looked like this too. It’s either from them being tied down during transport or jig damage on the assembly line...

So as with coolant, when the engine has been running it may peak slightly above the cold max line?

Is this where your fluid level sits when engine is dead cold or is this when the engine is hot?

Agree with this. Even if it runs perfect for 20 years afterwards you will always grimace every time you look at it due to trauma induced by it. It’s like a cheating spouse that promises never to do it again. Lmao. (Not really…..but makes my point)
