Why not both? Get a nice hard shell RTT for you and your wife; then a large ground tent for the kids. You could use the RTT alone for one-on-one trips with the kids while having plenty of room for the whole family with a cheap ground tent. The ground tent may make it easier for everyone to use...
It’s my understanding that if you add the Aux switches after the build then you don’t get the interior wires. May not matter depending on your application but it isn’t quite the same as having it built with the option.
+1 on the ease of getting through the firewall. I mounted a Yaesu FTM-100 behind the panel under the steering wheel. Worked out well for me. I have the head mounted in a decent spot but I’m thinking about putting it above the rear view mirror the a CMM Ram ball mount the replaces one of the...
I finally got lucky with an Amazon deal. I’ve read about others getting deals but it was my turn this time. Long story made short, I watched an Amazon listing for the Putco rack drop in price every couple of days. It looked like the last one in stock. I thought they were either trying to cram it...
I ran like this with my JK. In Florida it gets hot sitting in traffic without full shade! Plus it rains every day in the Summer. I don’t mind getting wet, but I hate when it rains fire on my head!
I’d love to win a Clayton lift kit. I’ve heard they were the best!
My wife thinks she’s cool with her fancy C7 Z51 Stingray while all I have is a basic, stock Stingray Gladiator.
Every time we see a lifted Gladiator on 37s my wife says, “That truck looks awesome! It’s too bad you have such...
I’ve done so recently. I’m not advocating it as a wise financial decision though!
I had a Camaro SS with negative equity of about $6K. I found a nice Sport S with hardtop and negotiated a deal to lease for 5 years for around $500/month I think the residual is ~$26K
Seems like a good way to...
I finally got around to calling Bedrug. They said a full-bed BedRug is in development and they hope to make it available in May 2020. I guess I’ll wait a few more months to see what happens before going with a spray-in liner.
I used the aux input of my previous vehicle for a ham radio. It sounded awesome! The only problem is I couldn’t listen to the stereo while monitoring the radio.
I’ll have to test it again but I believe it did show up for me. In fact, it got so annoying that I turned on the do not disturb feature with the auto reply text message.
With that, I noticed that the auto reply wasn’t sent to the whole group as part of that message, but as individual messages...
The 6 attachment points were the same for the Throwback (looks like they may be discontinuing their Jeep products).
I used metal spacers and fender washers the thickness of the hardtop to make up the gap and still used those 2 attachment points above the speaker bar.
Not sure about the sunrider but I had the Black Forest Throwback for my JK and you can use it as a bikini top with the hardtop removed. As a bikini it could still be flipped back for an open air experience.
