Why not both? Get a nice hard shell RTT for you and your wife; then a large ground tent for the kids. You could use the RTT alone for one-on-one trips with the kids while having plenty of room for the whole family with a cheap ground tent. The ground tent may make it easier for everyone to use...

It’s my understanding that if you add the Aux switches after the build then you don’t get the interior wires. May not matter depending on your application but it isn’t quite the same as having it built with the option.

I finally got around to calling Bedrug. They said a full-bed BedRug is in development and they hope to make it available in May 2020. I guess I’ll wait a few more months to see what happens before going with a spray-in liner.

I used the aux input of my previous vehicle for a ham radio. It sounded awesome! The only problem is I couldn’t listen to the stereo while monitoring the radio.

The 6 attachment points were the same for the Throwback (looks like they may be discontinuing their Jeep products). I used metal spacers and fender washers the thickness of the hardtop to make up the gap and still used those 2 attachment points above the speaker bar.

Not sure about the sunrider but I had the Black Forest Throwback for my JK and you can use it as a bikini top with the hardtop removed. As a bikini it could still be flipped back for an open air experience.
