Oh baby, it's on! Battle of the the Low Wattage Camp Cookers coming soon. Either one will run in my Gladiator without any additional power supplies or generators. I just turn on my truck when cooking.
Awesome!! A Gladiator remote start for only $139!

I wish I would have ordered the remote start with my Gladiator! Now I have to climb out of the camper bed to turn on the truck's heater. Also since my Gladiator won't fit in my garage, it would be nice to remote start it, to thaw off the snow.
It's snowing and I'm getting stir crazy and bored, so it's time for the Low Wattage Camp Cooking Olympics
Dash Mini vs. Road Pro
I ordered a Dash Mini Griddle (350w 120v) which will run off my Gladiator's 400w inverter.
I also ordered a Road Pro Skillet (180w 12v) which will run from...
Here’s a couple small changes.
Found a $5 LED light at Harbor Freight that velcros to the ceiling.
Moved the fridge/freezer behind the driver. It’s a lot easier to access the fridge from inside or from the outside here.
I never did get a heater for the camper. If it gets too cold, I can...
I've also done the aluminum foil engine block lunch before (not driving though). Back in the day we used to actually see a hot engine block under the hood, but now all I see is plastic, when I open the hood.
Finally found a couple tea kettles. One is 120v, 300watt and the other is 12v, 150watt. Both will work in my Gladiator with my engine running, either plugged in my cigarette lighter outlet or the back seat 400 watt, 120 volt built in inverter...
I'm continuing my search for low voltage, low wattage cooking appliances. It would be nice to find a 300 -400 watt hot plate to fit with my Gladiator's built in 400 watt inverter. Then I wouldn't need another power supply, generator, or propane for those solo trips.
Here's a 500 watt stove...
I've seen heated lunchboxes that truckers use before, but I've never seen the heated saucepan. Awesome! I would have to be careful using these, as I wired my 12v cigarette lighter outlet for continuous power and could run my truck battery down if my engine isn't running.
I also have the...
Here's a great article on using induction cooking in RVs. Stoves are cheap, but electric power supplies aren't. Bottom line is I need 2000 to 3000w power supply. Bit of a pain to lug my gas generator around, but electric power isn't much smaller and definitely not cheaper. Lots of choices out...
It's freezing rain here in Missouri, and I'm sitting at home dreaming about camping.
One subject that I haven't made a decision on is a cooking stove for inside my camper. I've got a spot next to the sink for it. We've talked before about this, but I'd like to hear about options from this...
Here's an example from my DIY build. The interior turned out very comfortable. Just finished it last fall. There's a lot of pictures in my thread at the bottom of this posting.
Here's a couple shots of the pass through to the cab that I posted on a couple other threads. I can fold the camper seat backrest up or down. When it's down, you can easily pass through to the back seats of the Jeep cab.
It's 8ft tall inside, with the bed up. There's also seating room for 4 people, not counting the Jeeps seats. Not sure I would camp with 4 people but they could hang out inside if it's raining.
