I really like your tires. I wish they made a 37" for a 17" wheel. Maybe when these 35" Pats wear out, they will.
Pic is the new 17x9 wheels that replaced the JL Rubi wheels. 1.5"front, 3/4"rear spacers.
Another Arcus here. It's the closest thing I could find that looks similar to the stock Rubi steel bumper, in stubby mode, except for those giant hooks! The hooks do provide a good place to attach safety cables with shackles, so I will live with them.
Under $600
Works with stock steel skid plate...
Per your request. 1.5" Teraflex front spacers, Daystar 3/4" rear. 315/70r17 Milestars (35's). Quadratec Rubicon Extreme wheels 17x9 and with stock JL Rubicon wheels 17x7.5.
Two hitch tighteners.
Using a hitch riser to keep tow bar level.
There is a rubber Hidden Hitch cover resting on top of the riser.
There is a boat engine cover sitting in the gravel between the tow bar and the retaining wall blocks. That could give the illusion that something weird is going on...
A must have, IMO. Especially using a height adjustment hitch for lifted Jeeps. That results in a lot of play/movement X2. Get two! No play, no movement, and no more clunking on and off the gas and at starts and stops.
Here's my JTR with the Teraflex 1.5" front, Daystar 3/4" rear, with the weight of a winch and bumper. 315 Pats. Sometimes it looks like it still has a pretty good rake, other times it looks level, like in this picture. Go figure.
I can't answer your diode question, but I can tell you that only 4 wires control my led lights from the passenger door wire bundle, to the rear of the Jeep.
I installed the Cooltech towed vehicle kit recently. It comes with a switch and bracket that mounts to the passenger seat base. I had to...
More boat towing. Instead of our usual boat launch 3 blocks away, we hit the hiway and went upriver for smoother water.
The JTR pulled this old heavy boat great at 60mph.
I went with the Cooltech harness. Excellent and well thought out system. It has a switch that isolates the Jeep from the motorhome. Installation was fairly simple. It comes with everything you need.
Since it seems that only habitual criminals and politicians are allowed to have funerals these days, we had a tribute to a fallen club member at the local dunes. There is a white Gladiator in there somewhere.
First flat tow went perfectly. Only a 1.5" lift and 35's. Seemed to tow better/straighter than the 2 door JK. Maybe the extra length helps?
I did notice a little slop in the "ball" thingy on my old Aventa LX tow bar. Blue Ox discontinued this design years ago, and I don't want to be another...
Maximus-3 towbar mounts, Blue Ox adapters, Rvi3 brake, Cooltech light harness. Only a small hitch riser needed with the towbar mounts under the bumper. 1.5" lift and 35's.
Lets see your camping pictures.
I know. Many don't call this camping. First flat tow with it this weekend. It pulled perfect.
Might even consider downsizing to a tent trailer, R-pod, or ?
