Based on being rear ended yesterday, I’d avoid this set up. The force of the impact threw all the non secured stuFFL all over the place. As also mentioned as a WA resident this isn’t kosher.
Thanks for asking- he’s doing fine but was rattled for sure- thankfully I had his crate carabined to the tie downs- one broke. I can only imagine what would have happened if he wasn’t in the crate…….
Contacted my insurance company:mad:
was rear ended by a SUV that was rear ended by another PU truck
looks like I’ll need a new tailgate and rear bumper at least. Drove home fine, but do have concerns about suspension, alignment, drivetrain stresses that may not show up right away.
The SUV...
My first Jeep. Always wanted one, but needed the utility of a truck bed for my hobbies.
Am enjoying my 21 Gladiator sport more and more- is more nimble than my Ram. My wife will drive the Gladiator ( if I let her) where she refused to drive the Ram- “too big”
For me, it’s a Jeep that is also a truck. Always wanted a Jeep, but couldn’t justify 2 vehicles for me. I need the utility of a truck given the nature of my hobbies ( bird hunting w/ my Brittany; competitive shooting; kayaking, and the Murillo moves I’ve helped my daughter do- so many it must...
Thanks & No- stayed on the WA side of the river- did some white water rafting on the White salmon river- wife’s idea. Her plan failed as I’m still around:LOL: Was a fun time for sure.
Wife & I celebrated our 38th anniversary with an in state trip to the Columbia River gorge area- roughly 400 miles round trip. Fun time, Jeep did great, averaged 23.9MPG on the way down, 22.1 on way back. I have a Sport S w/ max tow pkg. Essentially stock, with ~1700 miles on the odometer.

Looks like my canopy is delayed to early Sep. Am disappointed, but looking forward to getting it. Tom from adventure Ready has been very responsive to my querie.
Will post a pic once it’s installed.
Took my Brittany out for a run today In a local field. First time in the. gladiator for him. No problems with either his ride, nor the gladiator.

in my case, I bird hunt and need a safe secure are for my dog and kayak. As such I went with a canopy (or am awaiting its arrival).
For other needs, I understand the utility of...
For me, at ~500 miles, I’m getting 22 MPG to and from work on side roads averaging 45 MPH. Am pleased thus far with the MPG, but need to take a road trip with more highway mileage to get a better indication - later this month.
Mac- what a trip, am impressed. Also retired Army, still working as a DAC at JBLM (Ft Lewis) and am very familiar with the Olympic Peninsula. It’s my favorite outdoor playground if you will.
In a few years, I’ll retire for good and threads like this are giving me some great ideas for a road trip.
Great trip and write up. I was at Arches and Canyonlands a few years ago- spectacular place. Zion was neat too, walking up the river.
i hope to redo some of the trips my wife and I did when we got To our first duty station (Ft Carson, CO). For an easterner, the National Parks in the Rockies...
