  1. Can anyone tell me what this is for?

Not twice but THREE times. After the first test, they redid it based on FCA’s recommendation, and it rolled exactly the same way. IIHS hasn’t ran the JT through their battery of tests get. Theyaren’t provided cars by the manufacturers but rather buy them through local dealers right off their lots.
  2. Can anyone tell me what this is for?

My guess is that it’s Jeeps response to these issues that keep cropping up in small over lap crashes.
  3. EV - not ready for the masses?

I’m an advocate for EV’s. EV’s are the future, it’s where the manufacturers (and many governments) are heading in already. But I don’t believe battery electric is the only solution. I think series hybrids, PHEV’s and FCEV’s have their places as well. PHEV (and FCEV) are the ideal setup. The 4Xe...
  4. Where can I find AEV Hood Decal?

i will always recommend @pixeldecals! Don does incredible custom logos. Pretty much if you can think of it he’ll find a way to make it. He did my hood decals and they’re fantastic.
  5. Does anyone know of a Toyota dealer similar to Gupton/Chapman that gives discounts and lets you order??

Toyota is unique in that they don’t do factory ordering. Period. Dealers don’t even have the opportunity to order. Allocation is based on the region, what combination of packages, trims and options sell in that region, the number of dealers in that region, and the overall sales volume of each...
  6. Quadratec Speaker upgrade

I went with what I did because I want to be able to return the vehicle back to stock as much as possible when I trade. Hacking up the inside of the sound bar just isn’t a feasible option.
  7. Quadratec Speaker upgrade

This seems pretty similar to the Select Instruments JL-JT Pods I installed. Looks like similar Kicker speakers too. I think I paid less than $250 for them and bought through Extreme Terrain. They made a significant difference over the stock speakers.
  8. This isn’t normal at 3,500 miles, is it?

White smoke from exhaust usually means that oil is burning in the cylinders. That can be from many different causes, but the longer it burns like that the more problems it’ll develop.

    Here’s my 2020 Sport S
  10. Dash cam as trail cam?

I have a thinkware Q800Pro front + rear cam. While the app is nice to have, I wouldn’t rely on that setup for trail-cam purposes. You’re better off going with something that’s designed that way from the start.
  11. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

Which is why included the graph. The JL only received an overall score of marginal because it scored Poor (lowest rank) in that one test. Even though it scored Good (the highest rank) on everything else, the IIHS automatically rated it lower, as they don’t rate anything Good that has a Poor...
  12. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

if you think the impact that crash test dummy took in the JL was bad, go look at the test footage from larger “family-focused” vehicles. There’s no “fandom clouding judgement” here. I never said that what the results showed was inherently “acceptable”. But the JL test dummies faired better...
  13. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

The ADAS sensor is affixed to the front of the roll bar under the rear view mirror. Having it won’t impact how expensive the windshield costs to be replaced because it’s not attached directly to the windshield like most other vehicles. Also another thing to keep in mind with this test is that...
  14. Wicked rear passenger head impact!! Updated JL crash test. Where is the rear side curtain?

If you look at the JL in context of other vehicles it was tested against in this updated version of the side impact test, it performed extremely well. In fact the rear occupancy was the only low score it achieved and that’s solely due to having no rear side curtain airbags. This is also very...
  15. Loose Steering?

This is just my opinion, but there really is only so much you can do for a solid axle vehicle using a steering box. Stabilizers, upgraded steering boxes, etc. can all help. But ultimately there is still a limit to how much slack you can really rectify in the steering.
  16. Quality Steps?

I have the Tyger Auto Star dual step-sliders and they’re fantastic. I put them on in September of 2020 and are showing no signs of rust or corrosion. I’ve taken them through swamps, rocks, sand, water, you name it. Plus they look really cool and offer a nice non-slip stepping area as well.
  17. Hard Top Wind Buffeting

As others have mentioned, you do not have one (or both) freedom panels set correctly. An unseated panel will allow air into the cabin giving you the buffeting effect. You need to re-install the panels and ensure the seals are lined up correctly and the panels are flush across them.
  18. Falken Wildpeak tires are loud.

I have 33” Toyo Open Country AT3’s and they’re very quiet for being a rather aggressive A/T tire. The noise they make versus the stock Bridgestones is nearly indistinguishable.
  19. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

AMC eventually became Chrysler, so I say it counts. What AMC did you trade?
  20. Good Bye Gladiator - Hello Grand Cherokee and Challenger

I think it’s pretty common to switch between a Dodge product and a Jeep product. 2018 Challenger I traded for my JT
