Never meet your hero. My wife is a huge Rollins fan. Seen him/BF at some great place with them behind cages.
Met him in person a few years ago after a āSpoken Wordā, he spent 15 minutes talking to my sister in law about Faulken. Havenāt seen or listened to him since.
And Swansen Pot Pies! Those things fresh out of the oven are nuclear hot!
(Years ago there was a comedian who did a whole skit about launching hot pot pies at our enemies)
Ohio George ran a blown, injected 390 c.i. Cadillac in front of an early Ford rear for years without breakage. Driver and luck are 90% of the equation. Personally, I do dumb shit, so I would not do it.
Sunlite 16', 2480 lbs. dry. P.O. had the 'off-road suspension' so it is 2-3" higher than I would like and catches a bunch of wind. Probably 4K miles on it now. Stock Rubicon with 34" tires, usually; sometimes my 35's if towing plus off roading.
TIP: I gained 1.5 mpg and moved the sweet spot...
In high school I worked at a gas station/garage. The one gas attendant used to sit on top of the pumps for his cigarette breaks. I guess that's why he was in his mid 30's and still pumped gas.
The flip side of that is I watched a guy clean his metal workbench off with brake clean then threw a...
@WILDHOBO I do not always walk the downside. I like locked when I am anticipating 3 wheel action, or lose rocks. Much agreed that Lo and 1st does better than the calipers do.
@Zachanadandy 4wd mechanically ties axles together, so in order for one wheel to lock it has to lock another; ie. right rear and left front. If you have locking diffs, then those two wheels are forced to turn at the same speed, or all 4 at the same speed if both diffs are locked. I lock into...
35's on a Rubicon are the edge, sometimes they fit, sometimes they don't
On mine, they rub LCA at full lock and used to rub my inner fender liners, two 1/4" holes and some loose zip ties fixed that.
They do not rub at full articulation, sway bar disconnected - unless at full steering lock, then...
4wd. As it says above, it also helps with braking. Also as stated above put it in in advance, those couple of revolutions that it could take to engage could make the difference between getting out and going under.
I have seen all sorts of things at boat launches.....people forget that the boat...
