This is really good to know. I was about to pull the trigger on a set of these. I don't get out wheeling as much as you do but I camp all summer and hunt all fall and winter so I tend to beat the hell out of my tires.
I've lurked in this forum and the associated JL forum for years. I like the community here. Low Drama, Low politics, High love for Jeeps.
Also, Facebook is a trash heap.
Check out the gobi. It has an 300 lbs dynamic and 800 lbs static load rating that should allow you quite a bit of wiggle room on your RTT selection. They do require the OEM trail rails.
Also, I have a 4 man RTT and the likelihood of that fitting on your above cab roof rack is slim. The overhang...
I went with the glass for my dog but I'm curious as to how they will hold up on trail as well. I found one in stock local and had it installed so I can't comment on the install process.
I got additional windshield insurance that a $50 deductible for repair or replace. I live in CO and they drop gravel all winter long on the roads. Broken windshields are a fact of life for jeep owners here in CO.
Call the Forrest Ranger office in the are you want to cut. Attached is a Link to the South Park office. They can give you all the info you need. Welcome to Colorado.

I have an RSI smart cap and can see fine out of mine. There is a bit of a reflection/glare on the cab side window of the cap from the uconnect screen that is annoying though.
Ditto, I wheel all winter long here in Colorado (snow, mud, rocks etc.). Out of all the things I've broke on my rub's the plastic wheel wells have stood the test.
I loved my wife's JT so much I went and picked one up for myself. Honestly, I couldnt handle wanting to do all the after market fun to hers and getting shot down.
Hey Jeremy,
Have you tested to see if Maxtrax mkii fit on the cab side panel. Your kit looks nice BTW. Looking to pull the trigger on a full bed coverage.
I'll have to check out Prestige for service. I couldn't agree more with your comments on LHM. I used to buy all my jeeps from them (two JK's, moms renegade, aunts Compass, Wifes Grand Cherokee). After dealing with their shady sales tactics and the shithead service manager that my elderly mother...
It always a crap shoot with dealership service departments but I can tell you Larry H Miller on Havana is constantly bad. They rarely fix issues on the first try, they are unresponsive, and lastly when they are told that they aren't providing good service they get defensive and rude. I used to...
