To answer you, and clarify for the OP:
I bought the Mojave hoping i would be able to keep the OEM shocks and the 2" AEV lift. I have the Falcons, and was hoping the Fox's would be close enough. In my opinion, they aren't. When the time comes to rebuild them, I'm leaning towards replacement instead
My dude, who hurt you?...
My opinion, and I'm sure I am not the only one, is that the Mojave isn't the end all, be all of the Gladiator world.
I did NOT buy it to rock crawl, I still have my JK for that. I bought it to hit some dirt roads, haul small items in the bed, and commute. I liked the...
From what I understand, the Mojave shocks need to be rebuilt around 50k miles. Im not sure of the cost, but factor that in to the life of your vehicle
i put a 2" AEV lift (and some Baja Boss 37s) on my Mojave in the first 2k miles. Once I hit 50k mark, ill re-evaluate decide if I want to stick...
I didnt see anyone else mention it, but the numbers in your original post are the generic 'factory specs' for towing. Be sure to check the weights listed for your exact vehicle as configured. You should be fine either way, but its nice to know the real world numbers specific to your truck
Since this thread has been resurrected, and you're still looking for a way to defeat the limiter, I'm guessing your product never made it to production? Any hints what you were testing?
PS: if you set the tire size as low as you can with a Tazer/JScan etc (30" ??) your speedo will be off by...
Again, acceleration/steady mph or rpm shouldn't be the concern. Braking should be the focus. I'm sticking with my very vague initial assessment. You can get up to 55-65mph no matter what gearing you have.
With 40s, I would guesstimate that you can safely tow 30% less than stock. Probably even less
I just re-read your question, and did some additional Googling.
i think you're looking for the number (Y) where a a stock truck towing X lbs. = truck on 40s towing (X-Y) lbs ?
This thread will get you going, https://www.irv2.com/forums/f85/the-physics-of-towed-vehicle-braking-19087-2.html
i know you want to have a detail and exact discussion, but here is my 2c:
trailering safety is more a function of stopping, than getting going.
going from 32" tires to 40" tires is an increase of ~23% (rounded up) this will increase your stopping distance/brake performance around the same...
made something similar for the our chickens using a walmart ice chest, some pvc and a 9" fan
Shouldnt be hard to find a 12v fan (or use the bed outlet) Theres plenty of room for two frozen gallons of water in there
It looks like the template comes as part of the kit (part 9 in the instructions). I believe there is not a printable version floating around because the template itself is larger than an 8.5x11 standard piece of paper.
you might want to give your local dealer a call and see if they can get the...
Artec Nighthawk
No trimming needed to fit as I have it currently.
If you want to add the stock skidplate, or the sway skid Artec offers, you will need to trim and possibly move the Mojave reservoirs
AFAIK these dont bolt straight up on a Mojave without some modification. There is some extra metal on a Mojave that requires notching the bracket to fit around the shock tower
You will need wheel spacers. On the street, you wont NEED a lift. Even with the 2' AEV lift, mine rubs at full lock.
These guys have a pretty good vid showing what they did.
I had a small (nitpicky) issue with the Album Art not displaying on my Uconnect when listening to mp3 (actually FLAC) files. After some searching I ended up on the Dodge Dart forums and someone there had a fix, so I thought I would share here for anyone that still occasionally uses music files...
Sadly, i think the v8 is on its way out faster than many ppl would like. Because of this, I was really hoping the Hurricane would debut in the Mojave, even if it was only in the Standard Output trim
