Moe.....does anybody even make a C rated 35" tire ? I want 35's....but I'm NOT willing to pay for Toyo's or Nitto's when I can get a decent tire like the Kelly's or the Cepeks for what amounts to over $125 per tire less !
Riccochet, Yes, I know they'll work.....I was just more curious about any noticeable change in ride comfort......the truck rides great as it is, just wondering IF and how much of a change there will be...
Yes I did exactly that.......I got bolts that were approximately 3/4" longer, but I used a 1/8" washer I forget what size the bolts are, but they are metric.
Just bear in mind......If you plan on installing a safe on the passenger side as well, there's only going to be 1 bolt that fastens...
Mostly highway and around town, but in the summer it'll be beach driving in Delaware at least once or twice a week...….possibly and occasional trek off road, but not rock crawling. Wifey would like to get a small towable camper eventually, but that won't be for at least a year or two down the...
LOVE the console vault !!
I went with the Hornady vaults.....His and Hers under the rear seat and bolted to the body, and cabled to the child seat tethers
BTW...….I've got a Sport S with Max tow, and plan on putting JTR springs (front) and shocks on her....if that makes any difference in your advice...….Thanks in advance !
I've got a choice to make in tires and I need some advice …...so, I'm turning to the pro's !
My choices are both 35" (or the metric P equivalent 315 70/17's)
Kelly Safari TSR's which are E rated tires....OR
Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP's which are D rated tires.
My local tire guy say's the E...
I saw a Rough Country item that was an actual piece of metal that bolted up using the holes in the pinch weld that are already there.....it was black textured and it had "RC" laser-cut into it......it looked real nice. Nobody wants to see the pinch weld "mounting pads" that are always...
The N-Fab "Podium" were the ones I originally liked.....I think they actually have 4 mounting brackets per side (at least the ones they show in the picture do), but they I saw a "triple-tube" set up that was a full running board up top, and a lower rock rail on the bottom, and I really liked...
Anybody know anything about Hooke Road products.....in particular their Side steps tubular running boards linked below ?
I really like the looks of the double round tube (upper and lower)….just not a fan of the "star" cutout in the step portion....(looks like somebody's gonna get their foot...
There is no mounting plate.....I drilled thru the bottom side of the steel box itself....its 16ga steel. Went with a 1/4" hole, and used a thick washer with some new bolts (they're metric) and about 5/8" longer than the originals that were in there, they go right into the body mounts. The...
Finished the install on my underseat lockable security boxes........unfortunately, the passenger side only has 1 bolt in the right position for mounting them.....the drivers side has 2. (WTF were you thinking FCA ??)
Quick and easy install using a paper template. Total cost...….less than $60...
That looks great !! Does that wheel hardware come off, or did you need to tape all the black bolts ? Also, what is the offset on those wheels ? Pics with the wheels mounted ?
Sorry for all the questions, but I was actually toying with the idea of those wheels.....
