I can see where the flash update could maybe help some aspects of the steering like maybe making the vehicle easier to turn. At least in my case it is pretty obvious that the gears in the S.B are not meshed together tight enough and unless I am crazy no flash will fix that.
I agree completely and I have been thinking the same thing. It is just gears in the steering box and the best way to feel the play is when the jeep is not running and you move the wheel back and forth. You can literally go to a dealer and get them to open up a few vehicles and without them...
So maybe people are figuring out through test drives, reviews, forums, word of mouth that there is a real issue on some of these vehicles including mine with the steering boxes.
