Sounds about right.
If you still have your OEM intake swap it out and see if the noise goes away. If you don't like the sound the airraid makes, then just switch back. I have worked in the automotive industry for years and trust me OEMs are EXTREMELY sensitive to things like intake noise, and...
I went with the JT because as a landlord I am constantly hauling crap around I would rather not have in the back of a SUV. Drain snakes, plumbing stuff, mulch, walk behind mower, plaster, other dirty construction stuff, even PLYWOOD!!!!!:CWL:
But honestly I had a JKU, and really tore up the...
The issue with dealers is if they do a sold order, and the person placing it doesn't pick it up they are put on a naughty list by FCA. It is because FCA had an issue with dealers placing fake orders in order to get inventory in the past. Maybe the 5 llarge guy had been burned too many times...
On a 3.6 you won't be gaining any power, possibly losing a small amount of torque down low, maybe gaining a bit up top. Probably less than the error margin any dyno can read so I wouldn't worry about it. Aftermarket exhausts on engines like these are a noisemaker. If you like the noise, then get...
Catch cans are not needed in any modern, stock engine. They are nothing more than a vapor/oil separator. If you don't have one with internal baffles/filter/screen/etc then they are REALLY pointless, the majority of the oil and muck will stay suspension and just go through to the intake anyway...
When my JT comes in im going to experiment with some self-regulating heat tape. like this http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=262588585913&category=185109&pm=1&ds=0&t=1535522312000&ver=0
I think that a single strip of it across the front of the headlight will do...
Huh, I didn't understand the glass coverage, my insurance covers glass with zero deductable, and it's considered comprehensive so it doesn't change the dates. Trust me they bought 3 windshields for my JK
If I have a VON number but no vin can I still track it, or do I have to wait for the dealer to give me a vin? I have the bedliner and the 8.4.... so im thinking its going to be January.
Also, should add that in critical bolt applications where the fasteners are TTY, or very hard to get to, I like to put a bit of dykem cross-check on them. That way quick visual check and you will have peace of mind...
I notice they give all torque+ degrees, are these fasteners TTY?
Either way, don't retorque anything that is called in out Torque + Degrees, you can give them a "goodentight" check but once set, leave them as there is no way to measure what the torque value they are sitting at... and torque is...
I have been searching for some sort of 12v heat tape, which can be applied to either the bezel or across the front of the headlight (its close enough to the beam, that as long as it was skinny it wouldn't effect the light at all) If I come up with a solution ill share it. Frankly FCA should have...
If they could get more HP with less effort out of an engine by simple intake change... they would have done so. Throwing a lot of high performance cars on a dyno I have noticed that every single aftermarket exhaust or CAI will give you within the error standard of the dyno the same as stock. How...
