  1. M/T Gladiator vs M/T Tacoma

i considered Nissan for about 10 seconds :-)
  2. M/T Gladiator vs M/T Tacoma

I did not get to drive tacoma with MT but seating and view was not to my liking as well as 4x4 electronic control. I am not too crazy about shifting it on the JT but at least i know i am in or not, in taco it is press and pray...
  3. M/T Gladiator vs M/T Tacoma

I think you are correct. Also I think a big part of this is protectionism and laws about dealership requirements and so on. in our day and age it is certainty outdated and does harm. Just wish we could have a bit more WW style capitalism affording us more freedoms to enterprise.
  4. M/T Gladiator vs M/T Tacoma

I think this is the worst reason. I think unions is the main reason for everything that is wrong with US cars and everything else that is done under unionized banner.
  5. tonneau covers

It is 200 now. If i had to put an ATV in the bed would be a pain with this cover?
  6. MPG and range

do not remember but it was enough to go 30 miles or so to the gas station. i do not trust computer to calculate how many miles i have as MPG varies greatly depending on the road, so just get fueled when it is low :-)
  7. tonneau covers

    any images? amazon link pls
  8. MPG and range

I drive close to 80 and on flat i get closer to 19 mpg. hills and i am at 17. stock sport 6sp
  9. MPG and range

Sport S 6 speed with regular rims in NY 17.5 or so. Really get killed on rt 17 which has some hills needing to drop down to 4th sometimes. I hate the fact that i could not get lower ratio on manual and max tow. Come to think of it, i will not be buying another wrangler if it is not available...
  10. tonneau covers

I am interested as well. Need something before i decide on a long term solution...
  11. Hauling ATV in bed

Take a 4 by 4 and put it in front of front tires this way your atv will not run into the back window. I wonder if anyone makes a small utility box of the same size which can be used to store straps as well as create that extra stop for the cargo ATV
  12. Hauling ATV in bed

Looks like spec about the same. Yours is 50lb heavier...
  13. Hauling ATV in bed

this is certainty is the feature but tech is still some ways away from where it needs to be...
  14. Hauling ATV in bed

on JT these are fairly low so you are not going to raise the front of the ATV too high. maybe easier to tie down :-)
  15. Hauling ATV in bed

This is very useful. I think weight limits on receiver are about the same between the 2. I am considering mad ramps as a better investment considering the value they offer. but want to see if i can find a used set. money is always tight :-)
  16. Hauling ATV in bed

a wider ATV would fit just check the gate opening as your guide. I did see and considered mad ramps to keep more space available in the bed when hauling an ATV. I am a little confused by load spec on JT with manual as i would have roughly 400lb on the receiver. "The 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500...
  17. Manual Transmission Club

It should be within weight limit for the tail gate, remember weight distribution. I did not get the chance to haul my ATV since we had another 3 on the property that weekend and I like to walk to my stands, so used ATV only bring back the meat. Will let you know once I drive it my self. Do no...
  18. Hauling ATV in bed

Taco with manual is not available with big bed. My friend's Silverado measures few inches longer than Gladiator so his wheels are on the crack between bed and gate where mine are a little aft. Any case it fits and I am happy with that. Although my kids now want their own ATVs so in some...
  19. Manual Transmission Club

Now i need to go see how to deactivate hill assist. Maybe I am thinking of something else, when you on an incline and you hit the clutch and shift into a gear it will hold you for a few seconds enough to get going. If this is what you are talking about I have no idea how to turn it off. I...
  20. Manual Transmission Club

Not sure how you mean. Seems the same as the last model and how do you compare the 2 anyway. I think what it comes down to is that 4x4 taxes power and without lower ratio available on MT short of ruby (which I think totally sucks and uncalled for) moving momentum has to be much higher to...
