Also threw this on. I love my Steer Smarts stuff but man the adjustment hardware is huge. Easy install but a lot of tweaking those to clear all.
This is the JK tie rod mount version of the Falcon 2.2.
Did 2 laps on the bumpy road and medium, if I have to be honest, feels like my Fox non TS...
Any word back? I emailed too - I also asked what they have as official measurements for the end links since I may just replace with the Core 4x4.
I emailed Core to see what the lengths were and the +2" lift measure: "The +2" endlinks for the JT will be 7" from center to center for the front...
Thought the same - these are pretty nice. Guess I'll just confirm that 2" lift really means 2" for these given the alleged "1" taller" front on the Mojave.
Description in the title… few others had same issue, cracked and split boots on not real old end links.
I’d love to bolt on some replacements that will last me and don’t really need disconnects for my use case.
Any suggestions?
Reviving this one. This isn’t true is it?
I have the stock tie rod but Steer Smarts everything else and now trying to stuff my Fox ATS under there. Going to order the Synergy stud and use the steer smarts tie rod clamp. Visually looks like it should work.
I will definitely check it out. Test drove this and feels like a real improvement over my stock and unfortunately worn DL. Already less reactive over bumps and seems to firm up steering some. Not a hard core off roader, this is a daily - for now.
Well after the Fox ATS mount issue and waiting on a new mount, I also had the drag link to replace.
Thought it was an easy install but for reaching the nut on top of the pitman arm to torque to spec. Swapped for a Steer Smarts Yeti XD.
I was losing light, patience, and sense so I didn't snap pics. I will mess with it again and take some pics.
But realistically will just open the hole like all others in the end I suspect.
I’ll have to dig out my dremel or see if I can get a better set of files and give it a shot. Agree it shouldn’t be like this on such a $$ part from a real company.
Thanks, It ultimately did sit flush once snugged down.
But man I am pissed - the bracket is off by at least 1/32" so much so that the bottom right bolt will not thread.... no matter what.
Emails in to Fox and Northridge.
Also feeling a little regretful I didn't buy the tie rod mountable...
Well, I intended to throw on the Fox ATS.
Too much time later, the mounting plate from Fox is off by like 1/32” - enough that there’s no way I’m mounting it up.
Guess I’m calling or emailing them in the AM. ?
Unless @Northridge4x4 has a spare hanging around?
(My son holding the shock, not my...
Maybe a silly question, but the mount plate that comes with it seems like it should "press on" and sit flush with the end on the shock, but it doesn't. Is this correct?
Nice piece of hardware, just seemed like an odd assembly if so.
