  1. Official: Hurricane Twin-Turbo 3.0 I-6 Coming for Jeep With Over 500 HP and 475 ft-lbs!

The new Hurricane should be the standard engine for the Mojave. The current V6 in mine feels barely adequate. Having to wait for the Hurricane to drop into other Jeep and RAM models first would be irritating. Ready to trade mine on day one.
  2. LSD Equipped Gladiators Better Than Rubicon in Snow ?

Based on all theses responses, it sounds like LSD can help or not help over open diffs depending on the situation. OP and others feel more stable with LSD at on-road speeds. Off road, I have experienced an LSD rear diff take the rear of the truck sideways off the road first, then taking the...
  3. LSD Equipped Gladiators Better Than Rubicon in Snow ?

My apologies. I must have mistaken one of your later posts I replied to as the original post.
  4. LSD Equipped Gladiators Better Than Rubicon in Snow ?

Important context keeps getting added bit by bit. I’m outta here — experience on dedicated snow tires is outside my “wheel”house :CWL: Was the LSD equipped Sahara running tank treads?
  5. LSD Equipped Gladiators Better Than Rubicon in Snow ?

No, but you can buy a vehicle with locking diffs that is LSD when unlocked, the Power Wagon. But I wasn’t very impressed with the LSD performance on mine, at least not with 4H and mud tires in the snow.
  6. LSD Equipped Gladiators Better Than Rubicon in Snow ?

I had a 2018 Power Wagon with 35” Toyo MTs, and in 4H unlocked in deep snow on dirt roads, the truck would break traction in the rear and take the rest of the truck with it into the ditch (driving very slow). Switching to 4L with locked front and rear, it would crawl out and drive like it was on...
  7. Do other motorists think your OEM LEDs are on high beam?

2021 Mojave, and I get flashed by about every 5th person (two-lane rural). That means more drivers than that think they're too bright but don't bother or know how to flash me. Does anyone know if the factory manually aligns the headlights on each vehicle or are the headlights simply set to a...
  8. Bestop teaser concept: folding soft cover / shell / topper for Gladiator bed

I had the same issue as the other person – tabs wouldn't stay in after a dirt road, then once they had that fine dust on them, they wouldn't stay in when driving on the interstate, either. That person is lucky they ordered directly from you. I got mine from a local camper top place. Your phone...
  9. Bestop teaser concept: folding soft cover / shell / topper for Gladiator bed

I cannot recommend the vinyl version in hotter climates for dirt road driving. At high temperatures (95F+), the material expands and the fitment along the bottom rails is no longer kept taut. In these conditions, it only takes a few miles of dirt road or rough roads, and one or more sides will...
  10. Help me decide to go 35s or not on Mojave!

Coming from a 2020 JLU diesel to the 2021 Mojave, the engine in this thing feels so underpowered and cries to baby Jesus going up steep inclines at high altitude on the interstate. It already needs lower gears than 4:10 with the stock 33" tires, but it sounds like 35" tires don't make much...
  11. DO you even need lockers BRO?

Yeah, the hockey puck Toyo MTs I had on the Power Wagon didn't help matters. Basically on any surface where traction broke (hard pack snow/ice), the LSD would send me off the road in the direction of the slope, rear-first. Agree that the KO2s do great in the snow as I had them on a few JKs...
  12. DO you even need lockers BRO?

Rather have open diffs than an LSD any day, at least in hard snow/ice. Had a 2018 Power Wagon, which has rear LSD and f/r lockers, and without the lockers, the rear end of that thing would just crab-walk-slide the truck into the ditch on hard-packed snow. I'd flip the rear locker on, and it...
