I have the Weigh Safe drop hitch and highly recommend it. I've never towed with the JT but I have countless times with the Weigh Safe on other vehicles. Fit, finish and quality are second to none with the Weigh Safe, not cheap though.
I bought a metal carport 25 years ago and it's been a blessing (pic in avatar). Aside from keeping snow, rain, hail, bird droppings and sun rays off the vehicles it protects against the crap that falls 24/7 from the surrounding trees. I'm pretty whacked about keeping my stuff nice especially at...
Without looking through 54 pages has anyone done a Gloss Black powder coat/paint on stock 17" Mojave matte black wheels. Just wondering what that might look like.
When I lived in Mass I had a winter beater vehicle and kept anything nice garaged until spring. If you plan on keeping it then don't expose it to the salt and crap. Mine is a weekend fun vehicle and will never see road salt.
I use my own eyes as an example of the effectiveness of fogs. When I see amber or orange fogs in the day they always catch my attention over white drl's. I used LaminX covers to keep things simple and so far no issues.
I bought an F250 King Ranch new in 2017 for $59K sold it private party in 2023 with 10,000 miles for $55K. Granted a Super Duty is in a different vehicle class, low miles and a private party sale but it's possible to not gent bent over too bad but timing and who you sell it to matter. There's an...
Back in 1993 I bought a new Silverado for around 17K, 31 years later I still have it so trade in and depreciation are irrelevant at this point. Never understood how anyone could buy a new car off the lot and sell or trade it a few years later and expect to not take it in the shorts somehow.
I have a Sirius subscription in my retail store and it's way better than terrestrial radio. I figure it costs less than .75 a day so it's a no brainer to keep it. I only drive my Mojave on weekends and most of the time I don't want any music, new etc playing so I can't justify it at any price...
Drove my first Jeep in 1983 when I was assigned to the Presidential Retreat at Camp David Md. We had CJ5's we drove as roving security vehicles. Bought my first Jeep in 2003 a 2000 TJ Sahara that I painted with CARC paint in a 3 color desert scheme, second Jeep in 2013 2 door JKR and now a 2022...
I had a white 2000 JT Sahara with a khaki hard top. I eventually had it painted three color desert camouflage. If you go overseas nearly every vehicle is white especially in Asia and Africa. White can look good with a black hard top and black fender flares.
The most I've ever done with the two previous Jeeps is the beach on the Atlantic side of the country. No way could I get into some wet red clay and sling it all over the Mojave, aint happening.
