I just put 315/70r17 (Cooper STT Pros)on my stock Willys wheels. I raised the concern about the wheels being too narrow, shop owner assured me theyāll be fine, heās done a lot like that with no issues. With spacers and before the lift, he says they were good lock to lock with no rub.
DailyMoparGuy has it right. Shift into 4hi can be done anytime youāre moving leas than 45mph, just take your foot off the skinny pedal and pull the t-case shifter to 4hi. To go to 4lo, just be rolling slow, shift transmission to neutral, then pull t-case shifter straight through N to 4lo. Once...
Theyāre both Westin bumpers. Front is the wj2 full width, I forgot to look at the name of the rear.
If you really like them, check the price +shipping on Rockauto vs anywhere else you can find them, might be cheaper.
I think youāre out of luck for now. I just got one about two weeks ago, and both Amazon and Zeakās website showed in stock and were working fine. Iād say theyāre currently out of stock, probably because so many people saw that video and bought them already.
They
They did a lot of unnecessary mods to that gladiator in that episode, and not much that was really beneficial. My wife made me watch it, and I rolled my eyes a lot.
follow the advice of the other commenters on this thread and only replace/upgrade/add what you might really need for your...
I would have preferred the factory ones, but couldnāt find a set I was willing to pay for. These seem sturdy enough to me, didnāt flex or give when I stepped on them, but as noted by others the welds could be better.
they should be easy to swap on in place of the OEM sliders.
if you do swap...
Yes, theyāre the Red Rock. I noticed the welds didnāt look great, but decided Iād give them a try. Theyāre better than what I had before (nothing lol). They seem solid enough for my needs for now. I was hoping to find a set of rubicon takeoffs, but the only ones Iāve found were outside of my...
Added a little protection to the rear of my ā22 Willys.
bumper and winch going on hopefully by end of weekend, lift and 35s within a month, hopefully.
Now see, this is a very good point, and what I needed to hear. It is, in fact, about to get a spacer lift and 35s, and your very convincing observation will help me decide.
If I was close enough to pick it up, Iād definitely buy that rubi bumper from you. The DV8 clone looks like it has a better winch plate than a lot of the other aftermarket bumpers, but what you said about the bolts is interesting, Iāll have to look into it. I do like the option to keep the OEM...
Thatās what this made me realize too, full width is better for the majority of my driving. I think Iām going to go with the DV8 one clone, then I can remove the end caps for off-road while keeping more protected on road.
I agree, itās not really damaged. If I wasnāt planning to add a winch, Iād definitely leave it. The winch is a settled debate, I already could have used it once, when my stepson was dumb and got his truck stuck in a real bad spot. My last two vehicles havenāt been winch capable, or Iād already...
I already have the debilitating caffeine addiction, and the exhaustion is due to work stress and a stepson who is awake while weāre sleeping because he works 2nd shift, and has no concept of how to be quiet. What I really need is a vacation!
Yep, oem plastic. Iām looking at the DV8 full width modular now, possibly an LOD but Iām poor and theyāre high! I just barely clipped it, just couldnāt get over far enough because of traffic in the lane beside me. Hereās the only damage I can find.
Ha! Seems like everybody here in Missouri wants crazy money even for the plastic bumpers! Bumper isnāt bad enough to warrant replacement, but planning to upgrade to a winch bumper soon.
You are not wrong! 44 years old, and this is the first time Iāve hit a road hazard. Caught me slipping. Iām so mad at myself already, and even more now that Free2Roam made me realize I SHOULD have picked it up for scrap!
Had a little incident tonight. I was tired and distracted driving home from my sonās basketball practice, and didnāt see a big aluminum truck bed toolbox in the road ahead of us until last second. Swerved, but not enough, and clipped it. Looks like I have a small (around 1-2ā) crack in bumper...
