Just spitballing here, but did you ever test fit one of the non damaged Sunriders on your wife's JL?
It would be interesting to see if there was any difference in fitment.
At this point, I think this is definitely a Jeep problem. Of course, Jeep and Jeep Cares will ignore it as long as they can.
@ShadowsPapa, you present yourself as a very smart guy. You have three variables and only one constant. That should be very easy for you to do the math....
I definitely think he has an issue with his JT, not the assembly with the THREE different Sunrider tops that have been tried on his Jeep.
I wonder if these THREE different tops have been tried on other JTs. or JLs. There's something else going on with the assembly of his Jeep.

Mopar lift with 3/4" spacers. Used Synergy adjustable front lower control arms to get the caster where it needed to be and Yeti adjustable front track bar to make sure axle was centered.
