So do you wave when one passes you and doesn't stop to let you in on a busy street? Or does that never happen? If that never happens, that could sway me on getting a gladiator sooner rather than later. WRX have a wave, but a WRX didn't let me onto a street that's impossible to get onto. I...
Wrangler 4XE not getting 25 miles means it isn't eligible for additional Massachusetts rebates. Plus the fact it now costs over $50K. Ugh. Gladiator 4XE hopefully will be under $50K and have 25 mile range.
Actually 25 miles is the benchmark for many states to provide additional rebates. I attended an EV presentation last night, which emphasized that vehicles that even have only the limited range of the Wrangler 4XE are beneficial given most commutes are about this distance.
That same set-up helped the Gladiator crush off-road performance. What should they have tested? The Rubicon is the supposed pinnacle of the Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator models, no?
The Rubicon controls, dash, etc. also bumped up their interior scores as well. If it was a base model, I'm guessing...
Maybe a separate thread, but is a "break-in" period still a thing? I thought one isn't supposed to drive a new engine at a constant RPM range (like on a long highway drive, for example). Is this something to take into account when going far distances to pick up a new vehicle from the best...
Some of the biggest benefits of a small truck are parking and turning radius. When living near a big city, one of the biggest requirements I had for a new vehicle was a tight turning radius like my old XJ Cherokee, which is why I got a WRX. The 2 door Wrangler is great, the 4 door not so much...
How many miles are on these Jeeps ordered at these dealers? Supposedly, someone leased a 'new' Dodge from another dealer with close to 5K miles on it even though the paperwork listed less than one tenth of that. I prefer my new cars with mileage only reflecting driving on and off the carriers...
I rented a car in Chicago and was given a Pontiac Aztek. Multiple cars would slow down as they passed me, wave, and pretty much use any gesture imaginable indicating my (rental) car was the ugliest abomination they've ever seen. Before you buy a Cyber Truck, try to find an Aztec to prepare...
Many are suggesting sound deadening material. If this stuff is applied to the doors and the roof for optimal soundproofing, is it possible to do it in a way that still allows for the doors and roof to be removed? I know there is a mopar kit, but it seems like a very minimalist approach...
I would be curious as to the 4xe acceleration versus other Wranglers at different speeds (from zero, passing speeds, etc.). I thought you meant it was a gas guzzler.....but tying together air conditioners & pigs:
Marge : You know, Homer, there's $200 in the air conditioning account.
Homer : Oh...
I got into an accident which caused a lot of damage to the front end of my 10 y/o XJ. The insurance company was going to total it, but since the XJ's weren't being made anymore I expressed an interest in fixing it. I think I drove it another five years. If it was someone else's dime and...
Is Jeep encouraging early adopters by setting a MSRP that is later bumped a few months later like the 4xe Wrangler? Or does the MSRP a set-it-and-forget-it type that won't rise as quickly as the 4xe Wrangler?
The argument that a hybrid Prius has yet to be tested/proved is certainly a ridiculous one. HOWEVER, I do want to note that the only vehicle in which I was stranded on the side of the highway was a Toyota Prius. (My wife, however, experienced a h/w transmission meltdown in her Jeep KL Cherokee)...
How in the world did you spot this? I get the rollbar and switches (obviously after staring at it forever), but the seat belt mounts for me are even tougher to spot.
Did you get a heads-up from an insider or are you an insider at Jeep? Otherwise you missed your calling as one of the...
There are electric commercial lawn mowers by Ariens that cost as much as the F-150 electric truck. They have extra batteries that one can swap out. I'm guessing they aren't a big seller, though. The reduced maintenance for an electric mower like an electric vehicle will be a huge benefit...
Ugh. I really, really, want a Wrangler or Gladiator. If this was a Jeep Gladiator 4xe reveal, I would be all over it. Where I live, I need a truck or a trailer (the latter I already have and its a PIA in taking up garage space). I would drive the truck as much as I drive the trailer, which...
