  1. Squeaking rear brakes at slow speed - SLOVED

Wow…wonder why they broke? ..other than being ā€˜inferior’ to the application. We often use Anti-squeel or Disk Brake Quiet compounds on the back of the pads. But then again…most cars I’ve worked on never had clips like that. Looks like you have a 2022…. Are you still on the OEM pads? Or...
  2. Buying in Florida? I'm so Sorry...

That doesn’t seem ā€˜frightening’ to me…. You don’t wanna know what I paid for my 2024 Mojave X. šŸ˜† Are you mad that you want it but refuse to pay for it? Or are you mad that they’re a business who’s perfectly allowed to charge that much for it? Because…. afterall, someone might come along and...
  3. Is a tazer a good replacement for an autostop start eliminator?

Tazer does much more than that….. I have one and only use 2 of the settings. šŸ˜† Don’t forget about the Kill3Honk!! Yes, it can be finnicky and you need to follow the setup/tear down directions exclusively. I’ve had mine for a couple years and its plugged in 100% of the time. Every once in a...
  4. Sell as is or part out?

How much time you got??? Parting out a rig is a lot of work. It’s extremely time consuming and you’re always left with parts you can’t sell or nobody wants. You have to take parts off, advertise, and meet with folks (or run to post office) to ship stuff. You could have a rig sitting in your...
  5. Would you want a powered sliding rear window?

Naa…… I’ve had several trucks with manual sliding rear windows and I’ve NEVER opened any of them. I’m not sure what the purpose is… I mean, I open the rear windows and have all the air flow I could possibly want - aside from taking the top, doors, and freedom panels off.
  6. One of us?

That’s all in the eyes of the beholder/owner. Dumb to you….isn’t dumb to someone else. Some folks know the risks and aren’t afraid to live with the circumstances. You know those ā€˜types’ who aren’t afraid of a damn thing. Others don’t know anything about the risks and aren’t able to make...
  7. One of us?

I couldn’t tell if the engine stalled? He said it was sputtering….. He’s lucky it didn’t stall out and he didn’t try to start it. That’d be a bad day!
  8. $30K Ford Midsize EV Pickup (Ranchero) - News & Info

It's completely different and totally acceptable (to me) when forum members want to discuss and compare. But when forum STAFF are posting it.... Just SCREAMS advertising & exposure. As I mentioned, I'm sure the forum got paid to do it. Not any different than all the other ads and vendors &...
  9. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF

That's a no brainer..... It's exposure and advertising. They're hoping they can steal consumers for their own benefit. Stellantis knows more about our competition than we do. They already know what's coming. Stellantis is making changes years in advance. I'm sure someone got a nice...
  10. Might be time to change: Ram 2500

Too big….. If I ever needed to tow anything upwards of 5,000lbs+ on a regular basis, I’d get a fullsize. And even then….not sure I’d get a Dodge versus a Sierra or Tundra. I had a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 back in the early days….. when we were towing our built YJ around to the trails. As soon...
  11. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF

Wow…why….are we seeing posts about other manufacturers’ vehicles? Seems strange… Have we been hacked?
  12. $30K Ford Midsize EV Pickup (Ranchero) - News & Info

Hmmm… this is a Jeep forum and we’re seeing posts about a Ford product?? Why????
  13. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

šŸ˜žšŸ˜” Damn…I miss those days….. (not on Rubicon Trail) crawlin’ on the east coast.
  14. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Yup.... 2024 Mojave is on the list. Welp, we're going on vacation and leaving for Cape Cod on Sunday. I guess I'll leave it up to the 'powers above' to decide if we go unscathed for the week. 😁
  15. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

...and it took them 10+ or more years before they acknowledge it. I think it was 2008 all that started -1995-2000 models. Then added newer years. Depending on the year..... Some folks traded the trucks in for cash, some got frame replacements, and others got slathered with underbody coatings...
  16. Installing and removing a tonneau cover, depending on situation?

We have a locking hitch pin and we’ve had it for years….. probably a good 10 years. It’s a simple thing that has a rubber cap to cover the keyhole. I’ll be honest…in the winter, I take it off the truck and store it in the garage. But, all summer…it stays on the truck.
  17. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Wow…sounds like he should’ve never bought it in the first place. You don’t just go thru bankruptcy on a whim….. without having other underlying debt. But then again…..I had a coworker who went thru bankruptcy twice. šŸ™„ He would openly talk about his financial endeavors like he was proud of...
  18. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

I’m not worried either…… although, my husbands M4 next to the JT and our bed / bedroom is right above the garage….šŸ˜† Still not worrying…...It makes me wonder if this ā€˜condition’ is worse with age & mileage. I have a 2024 with 17k miles and doesn’t get driven but maybe 3x a week. We’re about...
  19. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Is that still a thing? I’ve been out of the loop since 2015……but they’ve had frame rust issues FOREVER. My 2007 frame was replaced (photo of chassis after frame was replaced).
  20. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

My 2024 Mojave X isn’t on the list…or doesn’t show up as an ā€œunrepaired Recallā€ I guess I should try again in a few days.
