I have a diesel on order and my sales guy sent me this...
I have a Sport S on order so he didnt snap the next page with the Overland or Rubicon diesel.
Steve thanks for this! I hadn't even considered adding extended bumps nor airbags.
I do already have a good WDH from Andersen that includes sway control and have been using it with my wife's Nissan Pathfinder to tow as it had a big squat without it.
I will have to research the benefits of...
Hey all, I’m in Longmont currently driving a 2016 JKU and recently ordered a 2021 JT Sport S ecoDiesel.
Although I’ve never done much wheeling in my JKU it would still be great to meet some other JT owners in the area!
Wow I would say this is very respectable MPG considering a Rubicon with 37's!
This is helping me make the decision to go 37's when I get my JT Sport S diesel as I've been on the fence.
I have a 2016 JKU now with 35's and my average over 50k miles is 15.7 MPG! To see numbers in the 20's before...
My JT SS Diesel is on order and I'm going back and forth on the Mopar lift vs aftermarket (AEV, Clayton off road) that have triple rate rear springs.
From what I understand the Mopar lift still uses single rate springs both front and rear.
I will be towing a ~3,500 lb camper 7-10 times over...
Wow this is a big help, thanks @Liftr!
I'm up in the air about 35's vs 37's and whether I will need to regear the ecoDiesel with all the added torque over the Pentastar. At least with this I can see the different engine RPM at different speeds with bigger tires and gear combinations!
I wasn't aware there was a 4.30 gear size for the Dana 44? I thought it was 4.10 then 4.56 then 4.88?
I'm running 4.88 in my 2016 JKU which for me is actually overkill for any highway driving. It's great off the line but it revs through 5 gears rather quickly and also doesn't shift when it...
Looks like the diesel Overland with tow package might be on the next page, but yes it's strange that the Diesel Overland without tow package has a smaller frontal area!
Appears you have a 3.6L Pentastar Kannons610 but you posted this in the 3.0L EcoDiesel section. You might get a better response over in the gasser section of the forum.
We have the same question for the diesel but with the different power delivery of the 2 engines it's a different answer...
What's interesting is that Jeep chose to use the same 3.73:1 gears for all trim levels. The Sport S I have on order will come with 31.5" tall tires whereas the Rubicon comes with 33" tall tires.
The general rule of thumb that I have read about to keep the same/similar RPM at speed when going...
Thanks for the write up Daniel, when my Sport S ecoDiesel arrives (hopefully mid-January 2021) this is going to be my first upgrade. However I will be coming from from 31.5" stock tires vs 33" on the Rubicon.
I'm still torn between 35's and 37's but I keep coming back to 35's as I will be...
I just placed my order for an ecoDiesel JT Sport S, my salesperson sent me this regarding towing.
The max gross trailer weight of the diesel sport, sport s, and overland are all 6,500 lb (2,948 kg). All 3 trim levels also show a 12,100 lb (5,488 kg) GCWR (or 700 lbs less than the gasser with...
Bob I went through similar research as we've been towing our camper with my wife's Nissan Pathfinder. The rear had a good 1.5" of squat with the tongue weight and I knew I needed to do something.
I researched airbags vs WDH and landed on the Andersen WDH with the 8" drop/rise. I found a...
Ordered my GCM EcoDiesel SS (Sport S) on 11/10, my salesperson sent me the VIN on 11/18. Time go shopping on Black Friday for a bunch of stuff to sit in my garage for 2 months!
Thanks OP for this! More than the salesperson can tell me!!
