Still my favorite thread. Rewriting my retirement bucket list plans. Starts next year :)
  2. Mojave Gas Mileage

I'm at 4K mils now and averaging 18.5 mpg
  3. Alpine radio worth it

I have the alpine, love it. My wife says it sounds better than her X5...I can't tell cause all I do is jam 70's acid rock so loud it wiggles the windows. Lemmy lives!
  4. Jeep Merrell Rubicon Boots

So if they have a heated version is that 4XE?
  5. HYDRO BLUE PEARL Gladiator JT Club

I love all the jeep colors but favor the blues. My all time favorite was the bikini pearl on the JLR I traded for the JTM. I'd have done that for the JT if it were available. With brown leather seats...to match all the dirt I track into it. It's a bit of running joke at work, if I show up in a...
  6. Some Of Jeep's Best Customers Simply Can't Afford A Jeep Anymore

I'm still waiting on that road repair part. Mojave doesn't care about it though-just eats the potholes

muddy undercarriage here, don't know if it's normal
  8. considering a gladiator, but got some requirements

I was looking at I was I was thinking from a volume perspective rather than payload capacity. Those give some margin on power also. No worries
  9. 2023 Gladiator Sales Over?

Some dealers in Los Angeles area discounting at 15% now, others not advertising anything with many in between. I got mine in July ~11% off. Happy.
  10. considering a gladiator, but got some requirements

Seems more F350/Silverado 3500/Ram 3500 dually or equivalent than anything for all of these requirements. My wife and I just pack a tent, cooler, and couple of sleeping bags. Wranglers and Gladiators do that well.
  11. Gladiator or Wrangler??

2 wranglers (JK then JL) and now a JT, I loved them all. I think no matter what you pick, you'll b e very happy.
  12. Things I don’t like about my new Gladiator

I love my JTM, can't say anything bad ... not yet. I do miss the tighter turning circle of the JKU and JLU I had, but I knew that when I did the flip. Gladiators are awesome.
  13. Please Critique my New Gladiator Configuration

It didn't occur to me to consider getting selectrac, I saw a pretty good deal and went for it-so command trac it was. Based on my experience with the JKUS and JLUR I had, the only time I would've really used it is when I'd put off buying tires...only slipped when I had tires on the wear bars...
  14. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Lots of technical stuff back there-more than I'm ready for right now. No open fires=no grills, so pack the cooler with sandwiches or a camper stove. It's alot of fun close by-probably just 20 minutes from Acton.
  15. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Me and wife went to Rower Flats, fun place.
  16. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

People who've never owned or driven a jeep wrangler or gladiator that think they are not practical or high maintenance ... Just empty Every Pocket. and that troll that kept referring to the 3.6 as a minivan engine. So not the case for me and I'm on my third. Just rolls happily every day. My wife...
  17. Caught in major rain shower today

I used to wheel, camp, fish endlessly on the outer banks with my wife when we were on the east coast. So awesome there.
  18. Poor grip in the rain

I've had a few heavy SUVs, a Volvo XC90 and currently BMW X5 that I ran/run all season tires on. Michelin Pilot Sports-in heavy rains got to watch out-the back end will let go. In my Wranglers (JKU with A/T then JLU with M/T) on had the back end let go when I had let the tires run down to the...
  19. Mojave Gas Mileage

My first post here. I traded my very beloved 2019 Wrangler Rubicon code named Hank for a brand new Mojave code named Elwood. Over 35K miles Hank gave me about 18.5 mpg life time average. Before Hank I has JK codenamed Jake. Jake was about the same as Hank on MPG. First tank on Elwood gave me...
