Picked it up last Saturday. Wife and I have been talking about it for nearly 6 years. But once the L came out, she fell in love. I told her once I bought my JT, she could get her L after 1 year. Was trying to hold off a little longer with the baby on the way, but I think it was perfect timing...
Haha, that's funny you mention that. I used to date a drift "trophy girl" that would showcase table displays and car products at competitions/car shows while scantily cladded. Ironically, last I heard, she's working HR in Cali somewhere. Oh, how the times have changed :(
Ooooh, I like the Grenadiers. A few of my dream vehicles would be a Defender 110 (the old one), G-Wagen, or a Grenadier. Although my dream truck was my JTR until I bought it.... I can never be happy. The American way I guess.
The last auto shows I went to were in Houston in 2001 and I think...
Maybe they're being picky about WHERE they spend their work in putting up displays. They might be spending more time on market areas that aren't buying into the EV/PZEV market as much. I'll admit though, that should still leave them open to showcasing the new Recon (which will be trash). But no...
I didn't do mudflaps, but I would say that would be a good one. Also, when I put my -12 wheels on, I did the XR fender extensions. It will really help with door hinge dings from rocks.
Other than that, door sill protectors and grab handles were some of my first. I also really wanted brighter...
The RockTrix have gotten a lot compliments. Some "uneducated" Jeep owners asked me if the wheels were OEM since they saw the custom Jeep center caps I made.
Hey that's still not bad. I think I'm on my 4th starter but all were still under warranty. All things considered, it's been a relatively cheap and reliable vehicle to drive and maintain (other than gas mileage).
Not me, my XK is the daily; the JTR is the toy. 150K miles on it and never had any problems out of it other than a starter, alternator, water pump, front diff mounts, the whole rear axle.... oh, wait....
Oh well, I still love it! :CWL:
Joking aside, if I ever get my SFA swap completed it'll go...
Thanks a lot.... this is all I can think of now: a bunch of Zac Efrons from Dirty Grandpa driving Jeeps, and wearing beach sweaters while "cruising the Hamptons".
My take on it is this: if you have an actual intention to trade it in, go to the JL Forum to get talked into it, go to the Gladiator forum to get talked out of it.
I just saw a '21 JTR similar to my own with 29K miles for $42K. It makes me cringe that even I can admit that's prob asking too much.
Ah, found it again...
Quartz Canyon & Snake again. I just hadn't registered for the BOH program last time I did Snake. Much easier the second time thru. I was kinda having a laugh at the group in front of me, even though I was the only Gladiator and I was making the turns on Snake better than some JLUs were. They...
I'm in the exact opposite situation with my Commander right now.... I like the 5.7 platform in it plenty, but now need to figure out the IFS to SFA situation.
But as I've had a 5.7 (even pre-eagle for that matter) I would be perfectly happy with it in the JT. It's plenty of power over the 3.6...
