Best wishes for your next trip! I carried a plethora of tools and repair/a]maintenance items. Replacement Bearings for the Casita, oil and filters for the Jeep, Jack stands, torque wrench, tire repair kit, windshield repair kit, Jerry can of diesel, grease gun and lubes for trailer bearings...
  3. Show us what camper / trailer / RV you're towing with your JT

I am one of theā€Iron Menā€ from the age of wooden ships! On I was on a minesweeper in the early ā€˜60, I made a Med Cruise. The return voyage was a time consuming event from Rota, Spain to Little Creek, VA. We were going 5 knots because we lost our port engine and only had one of two screws...
  4. WOW I am back and damn I miss my First Gladiator!!!!

I miss my 2021 Willys Oil Burner! I took it west to Yellowstone, Monument Valley, the Carson City ā€œSteam Upā€, then on to Alaska before returning to Florida. I had 58,000 miles (after two years) on it when I got rid if it. I was not happy with the HPFP recall that lingered for over a year without...
  5. Why am I seeing daylight under the front doors of my 2023 Gladiator?

The weather stripping on my front doors, on the bottom front of both the driver and passenger doors, do not have a tight seal. I just wondered if has anyone else noticed this? $50K for an entry level Jeep and they don’t use weather stripping tha makes a tight seal? Maybe this is just a carry...
  6. Jeep names. What is yours and why?

ā€œGreen Flashā€, remembering 10 years of Hawaii’s sunsets, and an additional 6 years on other Pacific islands.
  7. Happy Wednesday!!! Let's see those ? Ice/ Snā„w photos!!!

Northern Minnesota. Not much snow but colder than a land lord’s heart! My second Gladiator, ā€œGreen Flashā€, reminds me of the ten years of sunsets I saw in Hawaii. .
  8. Would you buy a diesel gladiator again?

No, diesel per gallon price is $1.20 now more than regular. I was towing a shall travel trailer. The concern about the HPFP failing while I was miles from my residence and the fact Jeep had no replacement part led me to get rid of mine. I liked it very much, but I could not depend on it. it...
  9. Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator)

A valid point, I would have to assume the additional expenses would be on my dime. Litigation against Stalantis would be a challenge and I doubt I could prevail. I’m 78 and I don’t care to deal with the additional BS.
  10. Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator)

Granted it is a low probability, I was lucky on my trip to Alaska. I just chose not to risk a catastrophic breakdown 2800 miles from home. Ford no longer sells the 3.0 diesel. GM still sells their 3.0 diesel,. My 2014 Laramie diesel had a problem with a coupler that cracked and spewed raw...
  11. Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator)

I was planning a trip out west in October with my ā€˜21 gladiator eco diesel pulling my 17’ travel trailer (trinity site, PCH north to the Oregon boarder, visit the sequoias, and back to Florida). Last year I took a drive to monument valley and then the ALCAN highway to Alaska. it has been well...
  12. Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator)

My 2021 eco diesel gladiator had 58,000 miles on it with a minor problems. Under warranty the resale cans seal were replaced and the oil pan gasket were replaced . I tow a small 17’ travel trailer. I’ve driven to Alaska. I live in Florida and I’m planing a drive up the PCH in October, and on the...
  13. My Experience Towing with the 3.6L Gladiator Mojave VA to PA

Yes, I concur. Rear entry gives space but a rainy day is not pleasant. I towed it through Ohio, Pennsylvania, and south to Florida. I took it to Texas through Alabama, mississippi, and Louisiana. It towed alright with 14-15 mpg at 62 mph. My casita towed easier with less frontal area but I...
  14. CAMPING!

Tok, AK July 2022, from Florida.
  15. My Experience Towing with the 3.6L Gladiator Mojave VA to PA

I’ll have to clean up some of the acronyms to make it suitable for a PG viewing!??
  16. My Experience Towing with the 3.6L Gladiator Mojave VA to PA

That’s crazy! you have the same roll bar as my fiberglass hard top. good grief.
  17. CAMPING!

I towed my Casita to Alaska, it was 2600 lbs empty. About 17 mpg overall on the 14,000 drive. I also took it to Northern Virginia. I really liked the casita, the quality was suberb! I had zero problems during all my travels. I didn’t like the wet bath, cramped interior, and the small...
  18. CAMPING!

June 2022 I drove my Wiilys Eco Diesel to Rice. TX to get my Casita, then to Monument Valley, next was Carson City to see the 13 antique steam locomotives, then to Yellowstone. I then drove to Anchorage an back to Florida. I carried a plethora of items for possible damage events. I picked i got...
