I've had one for almost two years now and it's just fine. I did use the factory tow hooks, but that's just because the knock off red wasn't quite right on mine. Otherwise no complaints. The people that say they suck have never seen one.

Same issue for me. No towing. First showed up driving back to Tennessee from Maine on the fourth of July. Yesterday dealer said they ordered a new rear axle. No ETA.

I had a similar sound in my door (or in the area of my door). As it turns out the door striker was making the clunking noise. I found a fix on a JL forum (I think). Just wrapped a few layers of black electrical tape around the truck side hoop and the noise went away.
