Forums are far superior to that unindexed mess of FB groups. This and the Wrangler forum have been really helpful over the years. Even if it's just the photos of lifts, wheels and tires. This helps others make a more informed decision on their rig.
In October, head over to the Overland Expo in Arrington. I'm sure you will meet some locals who can give you some good info. I've been to this event a few times and it's a lot of fun.
