Anyone know of a way to get the manual roll up windows locked? Are there any vendors you can think of that maybe sell a ratcheting handle with a lock? Would be nice to keep kids from rolling them down slightly to find a wet interior later etc.
Any help or ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
would you be able to take the original version and maybe do a matte black/ cutout version? Not sure what it would take to do that, but i have the version saved where it was just outlines basically. How much would a couple of these run at say an 8x10 size?
So I always joke around with my daughter who loves my truck about how it should be called the Dadiator.
Thought about getting a custom license plate, but decided that it wasn't worth it. What do you all think about a vinyl that maybe I put behind the front fenders? See the pic below and give...
ok, so i found out where my popping sound was coming from a while back. the JKS quick disconnects have a pin that the link slides onto and those pins were slowly loosening up on me. to the point that i was able to turn them by hand. luckily i didn't loose either of them. i happened to notice...
I don't even have to post why I bought mine, because you summed it up exactly. Only thing I would do differently would be that I'd have gotten the aux switches installed from the factory.
All Gladiators come with Dana 44's, and actually the Max Tow package on the base Sport or Sport S has identical axles minus the lockers (which you could install later when regearing).
I did almost the exact same thing as you. Stuck to the bare essentials and spent money on lift, tires, step bar and a few other upgrades. Couldn't be happier, but will still want to put some lockers and a few other things on it in the future.
I'm 6'3" with longer legs and I don't think the window handle is too uncomfortable. The back seats it seems more of an issue, but I don't have to worry about that.
Just happened to run across Jeep’s website the other day and was checking the build & price tool to see what other options have come up. I currently own a base model with max tow but they no longer offer it in that config.
(Edit: order book still shows it as an option, build and price doesn’t...
You are 100% correct. The Rubicon fenders may make this lift and tire combo look a little silly, but if you have the non-Rubi fenders, the clearance between tire and fender ends up right at 7" front and rear with the 3.5" JKS kit. Seems like a nice spot to be with plenty of room for up travel...
no biggie. There are so many topics in this forum, it’s hard to search and find it hat you need sometimes. Have you settled in which lift to go with yet?
Axleboy did my install. They’ve been great about communication an getting me back in for the issue, but it’s an hour drive and if I can just figure out exactly which bolts have been my issue then I can keep an eye on them at home.
Try this post. There are a few of us with the JKS setup so far.

UPDATE: Took it back to the off-road shop that I had install my JKS lift and told them about the noise. They test drove and then looked it all over. They told me that a bit had loosened up a bit from the JKS torque specs and that they retightened them all and I should be good to go. Seemed fine...
