Sorry guys. Forgot about this thread. I Ended up making my own kayak rack for my truck. It’s all aluminum and I made inserts so it mounts to the bed rail system. It’s high enough to fit action packers underneath. For size the red kayak is 8ft. And the green is 9ft. The last picture is the...
I cant find any information about the plastic itself being a different color. But I found part numbers for Rubicon fenders that seem to show some differences for paintable or textured and Halogen or LED.
82215740AC Paintable Halogen light
82215741AC Paintalble LED light
82215742AC Textured...
You are right, sorry I was only thinking about WRC paddle shifters for some reason lol.
There is a road and track article where they asked OEM's why they chose the shifting directions like they did. Some said physics, some said logic, others say because race car...
@WXman its actually the more common way to do this and has been used in performance cars for years. It stems from racing sequential transmissions. Pull back to up shift is easier under acceleration and push forward to downshift is easier under braking. its the same direction as paddle shifters...
Thanks! So far they are all custom parts that I made (hand bent or CNC machined). The cross bars are technically "Off-the-shelf" lol but they are just extruded 1 x 1.5 aluminum for POC but will change to something with a more common mounting system. Who knows, maybe ill make more and they can be...
If you are going rubicon you should be able to fit 35 inch tire with no problems as long as you are changing wheel offset too.
Spacer kits will work, but I would recommend getting a full kit. Everything is tuned for a specific spring rate / ride frequency, travel, un-sprung mass, suspension...
the rear cross path detection will beep when it detects a car (or person) walking towards the back. happened to me, had no idea what it was the first time. lol
mine also will not go into the bluetooth pair mode. It turns on, it turns off. thats it.
Pretty bummed about this. Loving my gladiator but unimpressed that Alpine somehow has a problem with making a bluetooth speaker.
I have no idea what a “manumatic” is, but there is a manual mode on the autos where you can select the gears yourself. Pull back to “D” then pull the lever to the left (I think could be right). Click towards back of truck to up shift and forward to down shift.
I want to say my 2018 ram owners manual said 1k to “mate driveline components” before towing. It’s really not hard to put that many miles on in a few days when you are super excited about a new toy lol. I would say probably good to go after the 500 miles for engine break in.
I want to say the answer was in a video, but from what I remember FCA said that BFG was extremely busy and could not support timing for JT tire development and Falken could. they make a pretty good tire, they do TONS of development using racing both off road (baja / KOH) and endurance (Le Mans /...
looking forward to watching this build. I'm looking to build mine a little more towards pre-runner then rock crawler. Also... if you guys arnt keeping that tonneau cover, I'd be willing to support the race budget! lol
So few thoughts from my side,
- Is it the same part number as JL inner fenders?
- Is there a PN difference between rubicon and sport / overland? if the (guessing) shorter sport inner fender is accidentally put on a rubicon fender it might miss a fastening point.
According to carbuzz, they have made over 10 million pentastar engines. I dont recall seeing lots of coverage for these things failing. If they had serious reliability problems like connecting rods giving it up, cams wiping, ect.. because of "quality" or design, I think there would be a bunch of...
