Had mine replaced and about a year and a half later, start leaking above the slider. Ran a bead of RV silicone on the top and so far, so good.
Good luck.
I want to thank all the Gladiator Brothers out there who responded to my post. After searching various websites for different styles of air deflectors, I've decided to go back with my original Mopar (Jeep) deflector. I like the way it looks and mounts, using the factory holes.
Upon studying...
Used 4, #11 bumpers. On the last Mopar I covered the mounting surface with Flex Tape first, to give extra cushion, then used the spacers pictured in another post.
Here is a picture of the spacers I used on the Mopar deflector. The second picture is the rubber bumpers from the Mopar deflector I used on the Weathertech to keep flexing to a minimum. The Weathertech is pretty solid, not much give.
I bought the Mopar through Quadratec and they replaced 2 of...
Hey All,
Having deflector problems and need help. I've went through 4 Mopar (Jeep) deflectors and 1 Weathertech. Since the first of October, I've been through 2 Mopar and the Weathertech. I installed the Weathertech one as the instructions said and also the way a YouTube video showed...
The gentlemen above telling you that your window is covered under 3/36 are correct. My window started leaking at the 35th month and jeep covered it. Good luck.
Never use it. Got into the habit of switching it off every time I start the vehicle and don't give it a second thought. My Gladiator is 4 years old and still on the factory batteries. Changing out next month to new batteries and going for 5.
When I bought mine in 2020 was having a heck of a time finding air filter. Couldn't find one to save my soul. Couldn't get them from Mopar, O'Reillys, Auto Zone, anywhere. After 2 years I just bought a K&N and put it on. Not worried about air filters anymore.
I don't care for step rails but I'm like you, want to cover the seams. I installed a set of Mopar Rubicon rock rails. Looks good and took about 20 minutes by myself. Again, no step but that's what I prefer.
