A data based and an anecdote based answer:
I've had 3 Jeeps as my only vehiclees since 2000. Two TJ's (2000, 2004) and a JT (2022). If you avoid first model years of new models, and stick to less luxurious models, I believe they're great.

I'd love a solution like this but $1k for 4 steps seems too high.
The wife wants the AMP retractable. I'm on the Rough Country Contoured Drop Steps... which I disliked so much I only placed 1 side on for the kids & wife.
@Jackpaul Hows the width on the Defender? Meaning does it feel bloated? I've liked the new 110 for my needs, but I've only driven Wranglers & Glad so worried about driving a "yacht" that is too wide
Anyone that wants a Defender, but wants to avoid the parts/reliability - the Lexus GX replacement (GX 550) and Toyota Land cruiser update should be out in the next year.
With Selec-Trac, does the JT lurch/awkwardly turn through tight turns? When I have 4H on - the JT makes turning seem like you're breaking the thing....
Anyone here with the Mojave towed a trailer say > 3k lbs? I had noticed in some reviews that the Mojave's soft suspension caused towing issues (eg: walk and reaction to wind). I have a Sport S and feel it's a hair firm to drive.
Which wireless carplay dongle? I am using the USB wire - and I swear the connection drops intermittently no matter if plugged in front USB or Console USB
Owned a 2022 for 1 year now, and Gorilla windshield has held up well. Granted I'm used to TJ windshields before this which always seemed to gain hairline cracks. (very flat!)
I had a 2 door that I raised my kids through until about age 10. A TJ (2004). I worried all the time about being rear-ended, and it was an ABSOLUTE pain getting them in and out even in car line. I'm sure if I was rear-ended it would have been trouble.
I stuck with it because I loved my TJ - but...
Been following - After this thread I'm really into the Bak x4s and the Fas-Top. I had been into the Rugged Ridge Armis rolling, but the Bak x4s looks more well made.
I'll add something that happened to me with Stop/Start. Mine stopped working for a few months.
Then one day I had to drive about an hour out of town. It suddenly started working again ON that trip towards the end. It's worked ever since.
I think my Stop/Start issue was due to a low battery...
Along with this - has anyone been able to turn off the *annoying* 3 honks when the fob leaves the vehicle while on? I've looked through the menu and disabled what I thought was it - to no success.
As a note, for those carrying 1-2 bikes, the Fox Half pad has been great. Rear brake light + full camera visibility. I ditched the Dakine half pad once the Fox half arrived.
