I went with the Rubicon for its off road capabilities right off the lot, and all covered by the factory warranty. Also, along with it being my daily driver, its purpose is for overlanding, and don't even plan to put larger tires on (I know, unpopular opinion) let alone lift it.
This would be $70-75k at best, but likely $15-20k lower. The video, while well produced and edited, doesn't really highlight any mods besides the rack, winch, wheels/tires, and lift, and aesthetically it doesn't look anymore custom than most JTR's. In fact, I'd call it modified or upgraded at...
I'm sure I'm gonna forget some stuff, but here's my list:
Fire extinguisher (two, internal and external).
IFAK. Attached to seatback of MOLLE panel of seat back.
Flashlight attached to Quadratec mount on driver seat.
Batteries, and power bank. In small pouch attached to MOLLE panel of seat...
Yes, a couple of passes of light sanding where the adhesive would apply. It's very little effort, and that sanding, followed by wiping down with acetone, allows the headliners to really adhere to the surface.
Went up Burns Canyon Trail that starts from Pioneertown CA up to Big Bear Lake. Great contrasts in ecosystems starting in a forest of Joshua Trees in the valley floor then finishing up among the pines in Big Bear.
Another vote for the Hothead Headliners being worth it. I'm a desert dweller, and my AC now works less than before. There's a video on YouTube somewhere actually measuring the temp differences. Install for me was easy as well, and I only removed the freedom panels.
Installed chase lights (KC Flex) and ditch lights (KC G34's) onto my JT this past week. Really loving how they look, and how they function. I've got them wired up to Aux 3 and 4 respectively. The single Flex lights are insanely bright given their size. Really happy with these.
Installed a set in my JT this weekend. What a great product. Definitely a noticeable difference in sound and my AC is working much less. These were also much easier to install than I expected.
Installed Hothead Headliners today. There's definitely a noticeable difference in both sound and climate control. These were also far easier to install than I expected.
