About to bite the bullet on gears. Any recommended shops in the greater Salt Lake area? I live in Layton and have received a quote from Fat Bob's. Thanks!
I like the 35s, they are quiet, handle well, but........ :) In my opinion 4.10s are borderline. Dropping down to 4 to maintain interstate speed on an incline is common out here in Utah. If I remember right, on a recent trip to the Bonneville Salt Flat area I had to drop down to 3rd. If you...
I don't need the bluetooth or wifi features either. If anyone is interested, the CFF 35 is $500 at backcountry.com (https://www.backcountry.com/dometic-dometic-cf-35-electric-cooler?s=a)
I bought mine on Ebay from these guys in October. Crate and all for 1125 shipped.

Ditto! This is the first Jeep I have owned with a hard top. I don't like man buns or mullets...and I was raised in Alabama :) But the decision is easier in Utah since we get very little rain June-Aug.
I was really hoping that Bestop or another company would come out with a mullet-free soft top.
I am struggling with the pricing of some of these (I am not just referring to one manufacturer here either) trailers as well. When you can buy a darn nice 5th wheel or travel trailer for 35k (of course, not towable with our rigs)....you would think these things should cost less. It makes it...
I dealt with Dennis Dillon in Caldwell, Idaho. My salesman was Gunnar Koval (206-235-9138, [email protected]). You pay taxes when you purchase the vehicle and then they mail the payment to your local DMV. No issues at all with the out of state purchase. It took about 2.5 weeks to get my...
I'm sure others will chime in and maybe the market is different now than it was in August. No...and I mean zero dealers were willing to work with me on the Wasatch Front. A quick email to Idaho got the ball rolling and was pretty much a seamless transaction.
MAX Modular (www.max-modular.com) has a Gladiator rack (aluminum or steel) that works with the OEM tonneau cover by adding in the optional brackets. Not sure even if you got the tallest option (18") if you could lift your cover. I'd give them a call. I installed voodoo cross bars that work...
Great looking JTR! I have the same wheels and have slight rubbing at full lock with my 35 K02s. Like you, I want functional but tires under the flares as much as possible. 1st world problems... :)
I installed the auxiliary switches this weekend. With the included instructions and a couple of youtube videos it was fairly easy. I had to make a tool to get the included fender rivets installed. Then I used the Tazer to activate the auxiliary group...no need to go to the dealership. Works...
I ordered this a few days ago. I found a youtube video from someone else showing the install on a JL . After install and flashing with the Tazer all is well. I will find out for sure on Sunday.
