I bought a black Gladiator Overland a month ago. Iād been driving Ford F-150 Platinums as my prior 3 or 4 vehicles in a row.
If I needed to tow heavy still, Iād have bought another full size pickup. I much, much prefer driving the Gladiator.
Zero issues, bone stock, but well equipped.
Normally, a road and a mountain bike helmet, a bag of knee and elbow mtb armor, clipless bicycle shoes, bike gloves, ammo and if Iām going shooting, a gun bag.
I hear ya!
The Keys has the best diving on the mainland. So thatās where I go. I avoid hitting Miami during rush hour and doing the last 100 miles there on a Friday evening or back on a Sunday afternoon.
Not working has its advantages.
Edit: And unfortunately, there are a lot fewer folks on...
Ok, great question.
Thanks for the info. My sales guy, who has had Jeeps, said mud tires or even the stock Overland tires, were better than AT, given the sand and rain in the summer, here in Fl. As you can tell, Iām a neophyte at all this.
My Overland is a great daily driver, nice ride and good road manners.. So why am I thinking about a 2ā Mopar lift and larger mud tires? Well, if Iām honest, itās partially because of the look. Though I do go a bit off-road getting to some single track bicycle trails, which the standard setup...

Not only is there plenty of head and legroom, the damn thing was a joy to drive. Of course I took off the two roof panels for the last 100 miles.
I traded a loaded...
When I picked my adult son up at Publix yesterday, he said my Black Overland, that Iāve had for a week or two, was the best looking vehicle on the lot. My wife thinks itās retro cute. My neighbors with f250ās and f150ās, some lifted, ask why the hell did I trade a ā17 f150 Platinum in on it...
Iāve had 4 f150ās in a row. All very well equipped and great vehicles. Just bought a well equipped Overland. It will tow my Airstream trailer, haul my mountain bikes to the trails. The Gladiator is narrower and a bit shorter, which makes it better for my daily driving.
And of course, a change...
Iāve been an f150 guy for years. Wanted something a little bit smaller, but still good for getting to the single track bicycle trails, with my son.
Looked hard at the Mojave, but in the end decided an Overland more than met my needs. You can see how much narrower the Jeep is compared to the...
