I painted mine Sarge Green last year. So far, so good. If I could go back in time, I would use two-part clear coat spray paint (the kind with a built-in hardener in the spray can) instead of regular clear coat because it supposedly lasts longer.
Dang it! Where were ya when I needed you 2 months ago? I had to make my own (but stainless steel is much cooler). I do like a 'Don't Tread On Me' Gasden Flag design. That should be in your overall design inventory for you products.
I would have preferred lighter tires. The Geolanders are kinda mid-range in weight for 37s but the deal was really good ($270 per tire). I wouldn't regear to get better gas mileage because you are probably right about never recouping the cost. I just want the pop back and have 37s. But the cost...
Well, no you don't HAVE to re-gear when adding 37" tires to a 3.6 automatic JT, but you will want to. After 3.5 years on 35" Toyo AT IIIs, I switched to 37" Yokahama Geolander ATXs when Walmart forced me to with an unbelievably great deal. The 4:10 gear-ratio Jeep Mojave looks great and drives...
If I want to change my OEM halogen bulbs out for LED bulbs on my 21 Mojave, is there an Oracle kit for that? By "kit" I mean everything I need including the bulbs, any needed harnesses or resisters, or adapters, etc. I already have a Tazer to reprogram. I am too dumb to buy various needed stuff...
OP is more even-tempered than I would be in his shoes. So far I've been lucky with Pentastar engines. Mine has over 105,000 miles and never a single problem. My JTM has 27,000 and never a single problem. I hope Jeep makes it right for the OP.
Here is one (skip to about 3:30). There are a bunch more. Just search on YT for "remove jl dash panels" or "repaint JL dash panels" . You will find several. Once the panels are removed, removing the rings is easy.
There exist several YouTube videos that detail the dashboard removal that will allow you to remove those rings. Have to search for them because it has been two years since I watched a few.
