Adding weight just causes more issues. The sway bar adds resistance to the lateral movements. It won’t do anything for nose dive, thats other adjustments to deal with that. But in an emergency maneuver, this keeps tires planted and body motions curtailed so your steering has a better ability to...
Took the JT vs the hybrid commuter to town. It was just to go to Costco and the like. The Volt is perfect for such duties, but dang it, Saturdays are not for hyper-miles. So to excuse the trip and re-affirm that yes, a hybrid hatch is 90% as useable but only in a truck can you also do the extra...
Buttoned up my Metalcloak Install.
Differential covers painted in VHT Wrinkle finish Gray, rear track bar, tie bar and steering stabilizer, and then the differential skids.
Also have the drag link, but I ran out of time to get Installed. Also it was putting up a hell of a fight to get off. So...
While I totally get the “blackout” as its the one piece of bright on the truck, I am a sucker for stainless steel, and a bit of nostalgia. I’m actually stoked to see not one well trimmed key hole, but a second one on the passenger side as well.
Well said. I just put one in myself and it was a marked difference. With the lift and the camper it was feeling really ponderous. On the first hole, it’s quite sharp.
I like a little sway, so did pop it back to the middle and it’s much more back to stock, but handles the weight and higher...
Metalcloak Undercloak has been installed!
Also put on the rear differential slider. Front one is on hand, but need to paint and swap the covers first.
All in all, slick setup. I really like the gold zinc finish and fit and finish were all on point. Great deal too with their 10% off labor day...
Sure, you are looking for the F106
The following letters are for the end valve type.
S-short nipple
N-long nipple
No letters is the standard no nipple.
I got the short nipple and the hose kit for it.
Fumoto Original F106S with LC-10 Lever Clip FS-Series Engine Oil Drain Valve, 1 Pack...
Got my MetalCloak Undercloak skids in the mail!
Got the parts inspected and laid out for install and managed to get the engine skid mounts installed. It was “easy” with just 4 bolts to swap, but access to that spot sucks.
The rest seems like it should be a quick mount.
Awesome parts tho. I...
Even with 400w behind them as I got the full kit, its not particularly impressive on its own. The lack of the bass port does tighten up the sound, but loses the bass. But that is remidied by the two 10” subs as a part of the kit. Just the speakers tho… it’s not gonna be a world of difference.
Is it necessary? Absolutely not.
Go and drive your trails and see what it does.
Most all the roads and sites are accessible via Subaru here. But theres a ton of lesser used trails that are fit for a 2dr Jeep, SxS or other things. Those are a lot of fun. I found I was just dragging the belly...
Service day!
And some new parts while there amiright?!
Grimm Offroad Stainless Steel Braided brake lines along with Bosch fluid. I’ll get a better pad later. The pedal response is nice, but the stock pad material feels like a wood block. I prefer more bite
Hellwig rear sway bar. - Highly...
A little later than I was hoping for, but finally replaced the fluids and new sealant for the leaky trans plug.
Does feel nicer with some new fluid in it tho and up to proper fill again.
