I used to think the same thing and always said I would never by a vehicle with it and if I did, I would disable it. I hated it at first, but I have to admit, it has grown on me. It really took me about 500 miles of giving it an honest assessment to learn it. After doing so, I changed my mind - I...
Not in my Jeep, but once had a very close encounter in our BMW convertible. I opened the passenger door and leaned in to pick something up and a bird pooped some diarrhea and landed on the seat about 6” from my head! I was like holy shit!!!!
So here’s something interesting. A while back when I first noticed my ESS stopped working, I read on one of these threads where someone’s dash for their EAS read “battery charging”. When they took it in to have it looked at, one of the nuts was loose on the negative terminal on the main battery...
Lol! This is the first thing that popped in my mind! Too bad for the seller, Joe Exotic is in prison. Lucky for Joe, it will probably still be for sale whenever he gets out.
This is good to know. Just drove mine for 2 hours on the freeway and it’s still charging. Before, it would be charged by the end of the same trip, but would only last for about a day. It seems to be getting worse. I’ll get it checked out. I have an oil change coming up soon. Thanks!
Good call good call. Thanks, guys. I’ve always wondered about this when I see/hear rigs w/o the receiver. In the PNW, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a rig on the dealership lot w/o a receiver. I’ve always wondered about this. I guess every dollar adds up when you sell millions of vehicles.
This might be a dumb question, but I’ve always wondered, why in the world would CFA sell a rig that is rated to tow without the receiver? If you’re going to purchase a truck that can tow (whatever the amount), why not just include this? It’s such a small price to pay. I’ve never understood this.
Stay positive. I think you’re on the right track. I was telling my wife about this thread and she said, sounds like your luck - he’ll get it figured out. Happy New Years! Keep us posted.
I have this same issue. Mine started about a month ago. There isn’t an error message, but when you scroll to the start/stop on the dash console, it will say something like “engine hasn’t warmed up” or “battery is charging”. Mine worked for 5,000 miles just fine. At first I thought it was because...
Haha! I wish we had some snakes! It’s all under control now, but this trap ended up being the best solution for us. It’s a little on the pricey side, but buy the time you try other methods, and keep paying for repairs - it’s well without the investment. I’ve had it for 5 years now and it works...
Oh man. That’s terrible luck my friend. It makes me sick to see this.
In a way, I can relate. I had a new Tundra with 600 miles on it that I had to park outside. It was unseasonably cold and rats ate the same wiring harness three different times over the winter to a tune of over $3,000 in...
I have the RR Arcus and love it, but it’s a royal PITA to install by yourself. Long story short, you have to mount the two recovery hooks (the heaviest part of the bumper) and the bumper’s shell at the same time. You have to hold all three pieces in place while trying to line up the the holes to...
