I recently installed the single drawer system and I like it. My JTR is primarily used for overlanding/car camping and I have a sleeper canopy on top. I wanted a way to fit all the stuff that I want to carry but still have a nice flat area to be able to get in and out of my camper without...
Yeah, I know it would take some cutting and re-welding and I would definitely take it to a respected off-roading shop for that but I would like to just replace them with some beefier brackets. Skids are nice, but all the ones that I have seen just bolt up to the existing bracket.
I use my Rubicon pretty aggressively at times and am getting to the point where I might have to get some new control arm brackets. Got out on Memorial day for some fun on the trails and hammered my rear control arm brackets pretty good. Who makes some good, strong replacements?
I am not typically a fan of Smittybilt (shittybilt) stuff but the PO put on the Apollo rock slider/steps and I have been very pleased. Have used it as a jackpoint, have banged it on multiple rocks and used them as a pivot point on rock and trees because, let's face it, the Gladiator turns like...
One thing to remember is that there are well over 10 million pentastar 3.6 liter engines out there. It is an award winning engine. There are some bad eggs in that batch but not as many as it probably seems. Most of these are driven by people who are not car folks. They just get in, drive it...
The more you are out there, the more you will want a canopy. If you are a "1 - 2 nights per year" camper, probably doesn't make sense. If you get out more and for longer, eventually you will run into weather where you wish that you could be out of your tent or Jeep without getting wet. That...
Weather finally warming up a bit and my oldest in from Andersen AFB for a bit, so decided to do some camping with my boys. Had a great time, Gladiator did great, overall just a ton of fun!
I had the full size on a previous rig and it was ENORMOUS!! Really loved it when it was beating down the sun or in the heavy rain. I haven't grabbed one yet for my current rig but will probably go with the LT just because I really never needed all of that space.
Not really for sure. Came with the rig and has no markings that I have found so far. It has barely been used if at all and opens nice and tall with good support.
Here is my addition. Just picked it up a few days ago and have plans to head out camping this weekend with some friends.
Only a poser pic so far, but if I remember I will take some more this weekend and post here.
