I ordered mine and got it 5% under invoice - could have had 6% but I didn't use the dealer for financing. I had to wait a couple of months but it's exactly what I wanted and the Monroney has my name on it which is pretty cool.
No, the video I posted is the one the ACE guys told me to watch to get an idea on how to do the nutserts. That video is for a different accessory, but the nutsert part is the same, and it says 33/64. They're working on a video specifically for the bed extender I think, but it's not ready yet.
Actually hauled it yesterday but I need to unload it today:
A little over 800 pounds of IKEA bookcases. I have a lot of books (working on a PhD) and we move a lot, so the IKEA stuff has been a good balance between relatively light weight, relatively cheap, and easy to find anywhere to replace...
I received mine last week and asked about the installation. They're working on a video or instructions, but for now they pointed me toward this video as an example of how to do the nutserts:
I didn't have rubber feet in my parts, so I'm waiting for replacements to come out before I can...
Thanks - yes, JTR is a Rubicon Gladiator (which I only picked up in the last few months being on here). I wont be able to get up there for at least a few weekends because we just moved into our house a week ago and we're still unpacking/moving furniture around and just getting settled. So...
Were you looking to buy off the lot? Maybe that was the difference - I special ordered mine exactly how I wanted it (since i had a few months before I was going to be home) and they even took off the Mac Haik sticker on the tailgate. I didn't get any extras added to the truck and it was built...
I know it's not either of your options, but I went with Mac Haik because they offered 6% below invoice if you're a Tread Lightly member and finance with them. I had to set everything up while I was in Afghanistan and picked up the truck after I got home. Eric Lee was the salesperson I worked...
If you're talking about @createdbeats in this post it's a Rugged Ridge Venator. Once I get ready to start modifying (I want to leave mine stock for at least a few months and just got it a month ago) that's one of the first things I'm going to put on.
I have a BMW F800GS that I just hauled from Arizona to Texas. With the front tire hard up against the front of the bed and the tailgate down, the rear tire contact patch was about two inches from the end of the tailgate. I looked up the dimensions and it's about 90" long, so if yours is 82" it...
Has anyone been to Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport? I'd like to go up there sometime (now that I live in Austin) and want to know if it's decent for a stock JTR. If anyone is planning a trip at all I'd tag along and camp - otherwise I'll go with my wife but we'll stay in a hotel in Dallas.
Just moved to Austin, haven't even moved into our house yet. I'll be here for at least a year, hopefully three or so. I picked up my Gladiator from Mac Haik a month ago, drove it back to Arizona (where I lived before I moved here) drove it all around trails in Arizona, and then used it to haul a...
Moved from Arizona to Texas, with my F800GS in the back and a U-Haul trailer behind. Overall it was about 5500 pounds, (empty trailer is 2000, and the difference between empty/full was 3500). I only got about 8 mpg but it was pretty steady.
Yesterday and today I did the two Badge of Honor trails in Arizona in my two-week-old stock JTR. I also drove down just about every dirt road and trail I could find in northern Arizona. Awesome couple of days and this truck is unstoppable.
Picked mine up in Austin (Mac Haik - got a great deal) last week and drove back to Phoenix (1000 miles) over two days. Truck was comfortable, had enough power to scoot along, and I had no issues except the expected wind noise from driving such a blocky vehicle.
That's funny - I (6'1") noticed that when I first get in I can't see the very top of the instrument display but after I've been driving for a bit and start slouching I can see it just fine.
I picked up my Gladiator last week in Texas, drove around for a little while, then just drove it cross-country to Arizona in two days. It was very comfortable (except for the wind noise but that's to be expected at 80+ MPH) and I never felt like the seats were limiting my enjoyment.
Has anyone towed a trailer with the tailgate down? I've done it with a Tacoma I had a long time ago where I had my motorcycle in the bed with the tailgate down and a Uhaul trailer. The Uhaul trailers have a very long 'neck' so the tailgate shouldn't hit the trailer when turning. The only thing I...
