  2. Where do you "off-road" in Texas?

Back to Barnwell Mountain? I need to find Barnwell Mountain :). But as usual, with my location, it is 8 hours away. I originally started this thread as a tongue in cheek poke at TX and the lack of public land but during that time I have found quite a few places to "off road" in TX. Hasn't...
  3. .

Absolutely but let's get into it with the "fun thread" and talk about Hobo Bear. I have to admit I needed to look that one up as most of your avatar's are from the good ole days! Hobo Bear, when Googled, will give you this Truly an original!
  4. No battery issue!

South Texas heat. Built 5/21 - new to me in 7/23, I work from home so it rarely goes anywhere 31K miles. Stop Start was never ready but the remote start always worked. Warranty service on another issue made me bring it to their attention and replaced IBS. Never worked so they have just replaced...
  5. 8.4" Does Not Recognize All Files on USB

I appreciate everyone's help, especially you @Sigz, but it really isn't that important because I can download all music from my streaming service but ... I am going to buy a new flash drive. My present drive is USB3 so I figured it was current enough for Uconnect? I hold a degree in computer...
  6. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

As a veteran getting on the beach is free and a quick ride from the house so I do it quite often. It's off season so it's dead out there and a recent storm somewhere has filled the beach with dead trees. Went as far as Little Shell and then it got sloppy so I turned back. I had recovery gear but...
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Speed tested the Pentastar 3.6 engine today and got pulled over on the beach. Yes, on the beach, by the National Park Service and yes I was doing way over the posted speed limit. However I did not realize the speed limit had been reduced from 25 to 15mph for the entire 62 miles during turtle...
  8. 8.4" Does Not Recognize All Files on USB

I think it's an Amazon Sandisk Cruzer? Definitely formatted FAT32. I did try NTFS once but it was on a bad drive. Never remember why I didn't try it again?. Will be on a long drive today and most of it will be outside cell range so I'll try it again. Not a deal breaker for me I was just curious.
  9. How are you treating this chip?

NV is my retirement destination if I'm ever allowed to retire. I've lived at or on the beach most of my life. I want the mountains now. So true when they say you always want what you don't have!
  10. How are you treating this chip?

I use it in emergencies like epoxy and then clean it up with a razor. There is always a female in my house with nail polish handy. I personally own 3 vehicles and 2 of them have cracked windscreens with the newest, nicest of the bunch with the worst damage. I will get the glass treated with a...
  11. 8.4" Does Not Recognize All Files on USB

I'll try and answer a couple of these questions at once. I was doing it while working from home so I tried a total of 3x. First attempt was with an old 8GB stick formatted NTFS - and the stick was bad lol. Second was with another old 8GB stick and I formatted Fat32. Mix of .flac / .mp3. No...
  12. 8.4" Does Not Recognize All Files on USB

Thank you for the software tip, suggestion! MP3Tag? Huge fan! Once upon a time I used to be serious about my music. got Spotify and stopped ripping and downloading. I'm lazy that way :) It is often that I'm out of cell ranges so I'd like this to work. The files are tagged an have no problem...
  13. "Jeeps are the most overrated and terrible cars there are"

I admittedly have not read/watched the review and gave this thread up after page 2 but why does this discussion exist other than to continue to popularize this crap and give them clicks?
  14. How are you treating this chip?

Clean then - clear nail polish, or as mentioned earlier by @Hootbro, any clear epoxy resin will work.
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I was paying about $13 a trip to get the beach off on the weekends so I tried a monthly subscription for $35 and they use a ceramic finish. Not perfect but worth the coin if you go there frequently but warning, they will turn you away if you are too muddy.
  16. 8.4" Does Not Recognize All Files on USB

I'm curious if you created a folder on the USB stick and put the music in there or did you just dump the files to the root of the drive? I have tried this several times with different formats (mp3, flac) with and without playlists and it just seems like unorganized chaos. There is no indication...
  17. Jscan odb and extension cable help

I have recently found the easiest way to reach the SGW module, for me, is to remove the trim piece below the steering column and it's right there. Six clips and the trim is out. Still a bit of a circus act to get your fingers in there but it is the easiest and clearest shot to the module I could...

My Indian had one too so I researched and believe it or not the Harley pump is cheaper. Always paying for the stupid brand names. Harley Indian
