  1. Building my own flush tail lights

Oh, and I ditched the V channel and went back to a normal channel... Was able to stack two led strips over one another to make it a little narrower. From 24mm to 21mm I'll show what I am talking about this weekend
  2. Building my own flush tail lights

Alright everyone... No pictures or videos yet, but I have everything figured out. Coding works, power works, just have to put it all together now... So the power solution..... I have Arduino boards with no boot up time now. Anytime any light comes on ( tail light, turn light, brake, reverse) it...
  3. Building my own flush tail lights

Thank you all for all the research.... I'll get this coding figured out... Just need to dive into it more .
  4. Building my own flush tail lights

I mean I can use a trailer converter that converts it to a split signal ..... But everything is becoming way too many components that are not needed when it can all be coded to work.
  5. Building my own flush tail lights

Yes exactly.... I'm just not awesome writing code lol... It's very time consuming. But I'll get there
  6. Building my own flush tail lights

Just wanted a separate turn signal wire... But it's okay.... Just trying to make coding the LEDs easier... But I'll figure it out
  7. Building my own flush tail lights

Thank you! Just what I was looking for... Just not the outcome I wanted lol...
  8. Building my own flush tail lights

Does anyone know, if not I'll get my tester out and check..... The trailer plug has turn, and brake..... I need to know if these are independent.... Meaning that when you turn on the turn signal, it's not the brake signal pulsing on and off.....
  9. Grab handle, delete - Justinswidebody- 3d printing

Well that looks fun to design... If have to make it in two parts... Let me give it a look this weekend and see how difficult it will be...

Work always takes the fun out of everything
  11. Building my own flush tail lights

It's coming along. My work needed me to work Saturday, so I haven't gotten much done. Then Sunday I was cloning a ECU for someone... Hopefully today I might get back into it a little... I'm short on time at the moment working 12 hour days unfortunately.

Thread died after the video so I gave up ?
  13. Grab handle, delete - Justinswidebody- 3d printing

I'll look into this... Is there a airbag under the trim piece? How long is the piece? What does it look like taken off? I don't feel like going and yanking mine off lol. Just don't know if it would be a single piece of a double piece print...
  14. Building my own flush tail lights

Have a new version coming soon that adds an additional strip of LEDs... Should make it brighter... What I did was make the channel from 17mm wide to 24mm wide.... Then I added a V groove channel so that each strip can be on a slanted side. Here's a pic to show what I'm talking about.
  15. Building my own flush tail lights

Don't have to split it, I can do that with programing. I'm still learning C++ to do all the programming on these. But because the gladiator uses the same wire for brake and turn, I have to get creative with the programming... It's a big learning curve...
  16. Building my own flush tail lights

Here's a look at how the tail light functions so far.... Still have some work to do. This is the older style tail light that I already had LEDs in... Wanted to see how bad wiring was going to be... Got some stuff to work on with animations still too.
  17. Building my own flush tail lights

Here's a few pictures.. . Also made a few slight changes... Old design on right, new on left
  18. Building my own flush tail lights

As for a update, I have made a thinner version .. Just finished making adjustments to it, and have some final prints going right now.... I was able to change up the lens a little to hide showing individual LEDs.... I think everyone will like this version much better... It's only 5mm skinnier...
  19. Building my own flush tail lights

I originally had LEDs and still have issues... From what I read the halogens with a proper resistor fixes any issues... I haven't even began to tackle this issue yet... Of course all can be fixed with jscan or tazer...
  20. Building my own flush tail lights

I already have a thinner one printing. We will see how it looks tomorrow
