Yep. I am really excited to get a Gladiator but I am also glad to not be in a "need" situation. My car purchases aren't always long term but this one will be. So I am less willing to compromise what I want just to get one in my driveway faster.
Well, there goes my productivity for the day. Excuse my while I get lost in the vehicle builds and destination pages of that link. Time to start shuffling some of my savings goals because I have to do this.
It was a cool place to work and being in strategy roles in the auto industry is fun. Unfortunately, International made a bet on EGR exhaust treatment when the industry knew SCR was the tech to reach the regulations. It almost buried the company and unfortunately slowed investments and growth in...
Off topic but “expeditions in Africa” caught my eye. Anywhere that you’ve documented some of that? Vehicles? Destinations? Photography?
Doing similar is a, perhaps unachievable, dream of mine. I lived in South Africa and Lesotho for a couple of years and can’t wait to visit again.
Following. If someone takes this on I’d love to see what comes of it.
I cut my teeth, in the auto industry, working on the development programs for International/Caterpillar trucks for markets outside the North American market. We got the CT 610 and 630 built and launched. We had another really...
I don't have my JT yet but I've been reading everything and watching every YouTube video I can get a hold of. If you are able to figure out cowl placement I think it becomes my go-to choice for the coupler if it is a clean look. I like what I've seen from your products so I am sure it will be.
Awesome! I think the Overland trim has the standards she wants but I’m not sure what key options there are. I’ll start simple...
If the Overland comes with the V6 how much would the V8 upgrade cost?
If leather isn’t standard what is that cost?
Sunroof?
Thanks.
I’ve been living in this thread the last day or so and it’s safe to say you, and your many customers, have my attention.
I’m getting ready to check my local dealers on a build (still deciding between Sport S w/options or jumping to Rubicon) but will send an email your way when I do.
But I...
Thanks for the tip on SL Valley Jeep. I live in Texas but I am from SLC... still have addresses I could technically use if there are regional restrictions on discounts right now. I’ll check them out.
Double checked the affiliate program before signing up for Tread Lightly. Surprised to find my company on there. We run GMs in our fleet but it turns out we supply FCA.
That’s a nice surprise.
Thanks for the link. I’d always been under the impression my employer was only tied to GM. Quick search of this list got me sorted and I’ve got the discount.
Apologies if this has been covered, search didn’t get me what I was looking for.
If you are buying off the lot you can usually email a few dealers in the area and pit them against each other to see who will cut a deal. It gives you something to compare. Can that same thing be done with an order...
I intend to do this build overtime... probably after warranty period runs out. The hardest part will be the bed. That’ll require some custom fabrication.
That’s a beautiful pair. My hope is to get a Willys Gladiator and eventually swap the hood and fenders with a mock Kaiser front end. That’s my favorite design.
