I think you probably hit the nail on the head. I'm betting a lot of people with JT's never have owned a Jeep and are simply used to something a little more "refined"
watch a vehicle fall off a hi-lift and you'll not want to go near one again. Very dangerous.
That said, i have one that has come in handy for farm use, but gotta know it's limitations, and block up the vehicle as you go so if it falls it only drops an inch or two.
Yes, so it comes out to ~ 35". I think these falkens are spec'd at 34.8". I was thinking about the new Yokohoma X-at, which in 285/75R18 are spec'd at 35.1". I ended up going with the Falkens because I've ran them a couple of years and like them.
Took off my Rubi wheels and 33" tires, and installed Overland wheels & 35" tires. Keeps the look close to stock, but gives me a narrow 35" tire that fills up the wheel wells a little better without sticking out any more than stock. I have ran the falkens on my 2500HD for a few years, so i...
Set of 4 JT Rubicon Wheels, with 33" (285/75R17) Falken Wildpeak AT3/W Tires. Less than 500 miles on the tires. TPMS sensors Included and installed. Ready to mount to your jeep and roll.
$1000
I have the Falken AT3/W on my Chevy 2500 and they have been fantastic so far over about 40,000 miles. Still plenty of tread and doing great.
My rubi came with the same tires in 33". I'm going to go to 35's, and may stay with Falken.
This is really slick.
I was thinking of doing something similar to add some better reverse lights to my JTR. I had some really nice lights on the back of my LJ and miss them...
I really like those small LED's you went with, and they look pretty bright too.
Want to go with a tire size that needs an 18" rim, so i'm looking to buy a set of 4 overland wheels near Hickory, NC.
Will have Rubi take offs once i find a set of 18's.
