we talked about a harness but i've always crated my dog on trips. just kind of personal preference I guess. i am not the slowest driver on the interstate. I think the crate gives the dog more protection in a crash vs a harness but this may be the new way we have to adjust to travel with her...

So the wife wants to take a 9 hour trip. No problem except we normally had our dog Stella (75lbs Weimaraner) ride in her kennel when we owned a Tundra. Tried sliding her kennel in this afternoon and that ain't happening! That goofy back door design prohibits that. Even with the front seat...

find a used one on FB marketplace or CL. even if it is the wrong color it will be smooth vs textured. then find someone who does body work on the side at their house. it will save you a lot of money!
