You and me agree.
But wow, that seems shifty. And only class III. So that wouldn’t get you the full tow rating. It’d let you use a bicycle rack. LOL
The OEM 2” hitch is class IV.
I did some poking around, looks like the factory HD cooling is the 240 amp alternator. So likely, the Mojave you’re looking at doesn’t have the HD cooling package with the higher speed fan.
Contact the dealer and ask, if they say it does, get it in writing and go for it!
It’s not welded to the frame.
My Rubi did not come with the tow package. I bought the mopar OEM 2” hitch and it bolts in.
About an hour or so labor, easy to add.
Most all gladiators come with the ability to punch a hole through the plastic and add a ball that screws in. This non-tow package...
If I’m not mistaken, the Mojave has upgraded cooling package, so should be the higher rating, if an automatic. You would need to add the actual 2” hitch as what a non-tow package comes with is only provisioned for a ball to screw in.
I believe the manual transmission neuters the tow rating...
You have to adjust your pressures accordingly.
Even with stock tires, the recommended 37 was too much air for driving without a load or towing anything.
Nothing is going to come out.
Join the tens of thousands who have had zero issues with a 12.5” tire on stock wheels.
I have logged over 100k miles amongst various rigs with 12.5” wide tires on a 7” or 7.5” wide wheel.
It will do better than any other gladiator soaking up bumps, but you can’t go bombing through the whoops.
looks like, based on the muddy-ness, you might be expecting too much.
If the “wobble” you have can be accelerated out of, as in, going faster, that is not death wobble.
death Wobble leaves you barely able to hold the wheel as your tires alternately hop up and down violently until you slow down to less than ~40mph.
You should install it how the directions read.
that’s how I installed mine and I don’t have any side higher than the other.
why did you install them on the wrong side?
I spent about 8 or so hours over two days. Totally doable in your driveway.
I used my floor jack, two jack stands, and misc. hand tools.
Torque wrench is needed.
Some just use “bubba tight”, but torque wrench is necessary IMO.
