Ah, so theyre not actually "plug and play", you have to connect them to a power source and / or switch. I got excited, thought the harness had like a Y split with OEM style connectors going on from the DRL`s. Thats a bummer, but thanks for getting back to me.
Since Ive removed the OEM grille...
As the others have stated, a few questions here, but I really like the idea of these and $60 aint bad.
I have two questions:
One) I have removed the OEM Grill inserts in favor of the Mesh grille style (you know, rectangle of perforated aluminum). Do these mount to the grill panel, meaning, can...
Im running the 3.5" front / 2" rear skyjacker kit and you nailed it with the links. My sway link bushings rotted out super quick.
Otherwise, Im pretty happy with the kit - I HAVE changed out multiple components (Removed the Skyjacker track bar and installed a teraflex, replace their sway links...
Im glad that you had a better experience, didnt have a bunch of headaches. I wouldnt want to wish that on someone else (unless maybe they have a grumpy grille..) Its entirely possible I just got the wrong person or something.
I would have really appreciated if they offered that level of support...
Officially throwing in the towel on this one. Last week or two have been crazy - lots of overtime, family events, and a funeral on the horizon - Ive been stressed out and really havent handled this well. Lots of appreciation to the folks that tolerated my rambling and tried to support.
I took...
This was what I expected from them - their website even mentions they may send you files, and they have the update tool etc - but their customer service has been pretty worthless so far. It takes 24-48 hours to get a text back and they all pretty much amount to "that's weird, man".. which is...
This is a solid point here - the way I remember it is that I did follow the procedure for marrying and changing settings up until the 2x power cycles after, I'll own that for sure and as you said I've mentioned it here previously.
I would imagine that the scenario you laid out would be more...
Sorry, just realized I didn't address your comments on the Audio page of the dash display. There are two problems there, I'll try to explain more clearly.
1) the audio page used to work, with the insane Audio unit, before the tazer was installed - album art from Spotify etc would show on the...
Totally valid suggestions here, I get you. That's my biggest concern - shouldn't. I have these problems that aren't supposed to happen (bad their "engineer" seems more confused than I am) that started once the tazer was married the first time and don't go away when it's unmarried. None of this...
Thats actually where I'm at currently. Unmarried it but the goofiness with the dash display didn't go away, so I remarried it and changed the tire size again, then removed it. If I'm stuck with it being goofed up by this thing I can at least have my speedometer correct. I'm going to try to get...
Agreed. Shouldn't have to waste money and stress on this janky aftermarket stuff to change basic settings.
After multiple "unmarry"s failed to remove the quirks that were created by marrying the tazer initially, I just said screw it and left it married so I could have the tire size set and...
This is cute - I filled the tank a few days ago and have done maybe 100 miles since, trip counter shows I've done over 7000.. thank God the odometer isn't completely broken too, that seems to be staying accurate.
Not really having any luck with this, have been fiddling with the software and batteries and resets... nothing. Contact with customer service was poor, took a long time to get reponses via text and whoever I was talking to didnt seem very knowledgeable - and seemed confused. At this point...
Didnt get around to trying the batteries last night, but since I had the Tazer unmarried I went ahead and updated it to 11.3.4 (It was on 11.3.2) and then re-married. Didnt seem to change anything, at least not the dash issues Im having. Havent received a followup from Tazer customer service...
Im an idiot. I pulled the ground from the main battery for ~45 minutes yesterday, but totally forgot about the aux battery. Will try this evening with both, worth a shot.
Yup, thats the part that has me freaked out.
Unmarrying is supposed to return the vehicle to stock, and it is not doing that.
Unmarry, full reboot, multiple sleep cycles, vehicle still boots to audio screen with a bunch of x`s on it - This creates multiple concerns. One being that the...
I appreciate that. I did goof by NOT doing the full reboot / 2 power cycles after changing the tire size originally, but then when I un-married it was supposed to go back to stock and.. it didnt. The problem stayed. Thats where I started really stressing out. Its one thing if the tire size...
Unmarried, full reboot, OEM module plugged back in, multiple sleep cycles, still getting this nonsense every time I start the truck.
Contacted customer support and it says they're out of office. Going to try disconnecting the 12v battery this evening see if that helps anything.
