You can get a shipping quote pretty easily, just know they'll try contacting you for months afterwards trying to get your business.
I did the drive to EJS in 2021, went from NJ to VA to pick up a friend then we stopped in Indiana and Nebraska to camp the night with short stops in a few states...
Not totally sure, on my JK they were stuck to the liner and worked great once I got rid of them. This one pissed me off so much I tried an extractor on it, so by the time I got to the machine shop it was a half inch deep crater without a spec of surface to work from. haha
Nice work. I just went with Power Tank, also runs an air ratchet, and can reseat slipped beads. About $700 here with the upgraded options I chose. Air up in like 20 seconds per tire.
Actually yes, the kit includes the bit for the door hinge. Which was so seized I ended up taking it to my local machine shop to have it tapped/drilled.
Correct, I have the HD on my JT. I only wanted full width to protect the fenders. I had the XHD on my JK with all 3 different end caps, was a cool idea but I ended up running the mid-width full time and never touched the others. I don't believe they ever released an XHD for the JT, closest...
I would look into making your own toolkit, the Jeep one is neat - but the metal doesn't go all the way through the rubber handle. I ripped mine in half trying to use a pipe around the handle for leverage.
^ I did the Cold Weather, etc. on my wife's JL, but like OP said - my JT was as barebones as you get (besides Max Tow). I've got crank windows, and a key fob with no buttons on it. Just like the good ole days. Wasn't really a price matter, Max Tow was the only option I "needed" when I was...
Oh my gosh, I almost get anxiety coming back to VA with my NJ plates. I always feel like people are looking at me, I just want to yell "I was born and raised here!" ? ?
Exactly my thoughts, I don't want to miss out by overlooking a new thread. I don't doubt this will be a very helpful thread, but you will also see posts in the NC and South forums planning events to come to these exact beaches and either they won't see this thread, or we won't see theirs.
Perfect area, especially in the "off-season". My aunt lives in Manteo, my mom lives in Virginia Beach, my brother has since moved to Georgia but was a Park Ranger down there previously. We went to Hatteras every Summer for probably 15 straight years.
They usually recommend dropping to 18 to start, your setup is very light on the feet. You won't be risking a slipped bead until you're pushing 10. My little manual deflators are set to 15 personally.
How many "Main Threads" will I have to keep up with now? ?
I don't think there needs to be such a specific locale. I travel hundreds of miles to events/meetups if I think they're gonna be worth my while. Narrowing them down to all these little niche threads are just gonna make me accidentally...
Some of you know my story, LOL. Anyway my local dealership is a bunch of idiots, lost out on my sale when the JT first came out. Practically laughed in my face at my desired terms, I came back a couple hours later in a fresh Max Tow from a different dealer and walked past their desks to the...
I think it's really personal preference, these good brands are all running a good product. Personally I have Teraflex, I recently swapped them from stock at about 45k miles. But I'm all sorts of Frankenstein right now. Superlift Suspension 4" lift coils with Fox shocks, Teraflex ball joints and...
I don't have much to add, just wanted to drop a photo to help give you ideas. This is an old pic but here's my JT with 4 Rugged Ridge "Rock Light Kit" lights. I decided to only get 4, and I ran them more in the centerline of the truck. Above the axles, under the bed where the spare tire used to...
I was up on the mountains in Manti-La Sal National Forest last I went, but you can shower and stuff in town for about $5.

The bumper is bolted directly to the frame, here's a quick screenshot of a JT without a bumper.
And here's the video I took that from, incase you wanted to take off the bumper and have a look:
