So there is a condition where the doors are off and the system is expecting to see pressure in the drivers seat, probably even when the seat belt is latched. So say you lift your butt off the seat because your grabbing your phone out of your pocket, you have your seat belt on doors are off. I'd...
Also. The mud mats came from the factory/dealer with the floor drain plugs installed. But the mat has a little oval that is supposed to funnel excess water through the floor board. So a new owner will need to pull up the mat and remove/keep the plug. Then push the mat back in place with oval...
It took me a while to notice everything locks. The center console, glove box, under seat storage and the rear seat back. So when the doors come off, don't forget to stow your gear and lock it all up!
Cold weather group is a must in Michigan.
I love my tonneau cover. The cargo group lockable container is awesome top and doors come off and Jeep storage is lockable. I use the power inverter all the time. For my refrigerator and a little half horse air compressor. The low-grade audio is the one...
I didn't get the Rubicon so I have two switches reserved for lockers if I ever need them. I'll just use the switch to a solenoid and use the soleniod to power the locker. So far, I have not encountered any situation where I need the lockers.
The first time I encountered it, I hopped out to unhook my trailer and then hopped back in without closing the door all the way. I look for the door ajar indicator on the cluster. If you don't see it then there is something else going on. If you do see the door ajar light, then close the door...
WOW! I thought it was simply an effect of the door being ajar ...far more complex than what I was thinking! I'll be keeping an eye out for this in the future.
Remember the old automatic seat belt Ford came out with? Seemingly good for the user...
Just imagine overlanding in the wilderness and...
Sorry for the long link. Hopefully it works. Mylifter is very cool but more expensive. I have two of them, you synchronize them and use your phone to lift the lid off the vehicle. You will have to work out how to attach them to your cap. Otherwise the mylifter is perfect for this application...
I agree with rubber based undercoating. I think it holds moisture just as bad as sand. But I am trying a lanolin oil by Woolwax. I just applied it. It's just a really heavy grease consistency that could be washed off and reapplied.
It was really tough to make the decision. There isn't enough literature on exactly what the system does. The yaw pitch and roll of the vehicle would have been nice in the cluster panel on the standard. It's a Jeep for off-roading. Seems like all configurations should be able to see the yaw...
The standard radio with knobs is not that great either... I love the hard buttons! But, probably the middle option is the most mature/developed option. The standard radio software is primative. It will not let you listen to the radio and use your phone GPS via bluetooth at the same time. The...
