I’ve got 4.56s in my diesel to help with towing on 37s, in a gasser on 35s I’d think 4.56s or 4.88s would be ideal for towing.

Best looking high clearance rear bumper out there! Can’t wait to hear about towing capabilities! My other CavFab items are top notch and this looks to be the same great quality.

I understand their hesitation with a certified check after banking hours. Why not just do a wire transfer when you get there though? That’s the easiest solution and how I prefer to buy/sell vehicles.

I had 37s with 3.73s in a diesel and it wasn’t great. Rarely saw 8th gear on the highway.

Not sure if it’s been posted in the last 8 pages but the K02s notoriously run small if that matters to you. I went from 37” K02s to 37” Firestones and the size difference was very noticeable. Regardless, my K02s were a great tire while I had them.

There is a shop local to me that does these swaps as well. I’ve had work done there and they have been great. JFB Off-Road is the shop, might be worth a look.

Just dropped mine off this morning for 4.56s. I found that with the new 37s I wasn’t getting into 8th gear on a flat roads unloaded unless there was absolutely 0 wind or a tail wind. While towing our SXS and gear (4500ish lbs) we were holding 6th and occasionally 7th gear on flat roads at 65mph...

Never. Just replace the axles and transfer case like the OP.

The envy is real living in the suburbs of Chicago. This place sucks with -30* wind chills and frequent snow. I’d love this weather to be a rarity lol.

I wired up two in parallel and got a 120HP gain to the wheels. Had to modify the jeep to run in FWD only so it doesn’t wheelie all the time.

Off to replace my transfer case and axles to resolve a misfire thanks to the tips in this thread!

I consistently pull around 5k with my Rubicon and it does fine and I am lifted on 37s (for reference it is the diesel). Regardless, in stock form I’d have zero concerns pulling 5,500lbs long range in a gasser of either model.
