Went from a well optioned 2023 JTR to a 2024 JTR -X package. The reasons I did so were 0% financing from Stellantis, side curtain air bags, full time 4WD selection, numerous safety features I did not have on the 2023, and some other goodies included in the X package. The 2023 was nice, but the...
This applies to 2024 and possibly 2025 model years with the large Uconnect 5 screen.
Yesterday my 2024 Gladiator Rubicon-X received the latest Uconnect5 update, version FCA-MY24.U33.43-PROD . This update has been rolled out to many 2024+ Wranglers, and now it looks like they are targeting the...
Definite pain in the arse to get to those connectors. Took me several attempts over multiple days before I finally got them out. Rubicon-X and Mohave-X have an extra black bar that limits access. Maybe a wife or teenager with smaller hands can help do the trick.
All the best. Some pics...
wow, thanks for this, I am grateful. Kudos to you for finding it. I am guilty of misusing and interchanging the parts speaker and speaker pod. So for clarity, which is it? Was it above or below the opening for the headlight switch? Thanks and I'm sure Benny @AllMoparParts.com will be very...
One thought, since you have the rear harness and outlet in place, you could try turning it on with a tazer or jscan and see if you have power at the outlet with or without the engine running. Maybe to either prove or disprove the thought that the outlet is on without needing the oem switch...
One place I could not see with the scope was behind and to the right of where the headlight switch wire emerges. Also I cannot pull the headlight wire out any farther without resistance and I did not want to risk breaking it. So the resistance might possibly be where the missing connector is...
I had the borescope out today and could not see anything back there that looked like a connector. I was even able to push it through some of the gaps on top and to the side. The gap where the switch wire comes out was too small to get the camera in. I was able to get into the gap above the...
Good morning Benny. I might remove the headlight switch again and try to poke around in there with a mirror. The space is too small for me to get a pinky back behind there, and I think it is too small to get a bore scope in there. Maybe I will take another look in the next few days but I am...
Benny, thanks for researching this. Much appreciated. I guess I will wait to see if there is a solution and if not, I will go the direction of @ShadowsPapa and others. Still hoping for an OEM solution, though.
Before you pull apart your dash, I suggest you take a look as posted here in page 1 of this thread. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/2024-mojave-x-add-bed-115v-outlet.90703/post-1457476 On a 2023 the pigtail might be taped to that wire in the photos before the finger. Also the...
Maybe you could take some pics of what is in the kit you ordered and post them? I suspect that besides not including the panel for 2024+, there might be a different harness for the switch - maybe? Also if the kit has MOPAR instructions, some pics of the switch sections would be welcome. The...
Same here, no wire behind the headlamp switch to pull down to where the switch for the rear outlet goes. Nothing taped to the headlight switch wire. Mine is an April 2024 build, I guess they stopped including that wire and connector at some point before April 2024. it was fairly easy to get...
Here is what I did on my 2024 JTR X package:https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/extension-cable-for-tazer-needed.138946/post-2900946
In the 2024+ with the premium sound system, they added/changed the location/or size of the aluminum bar up there that makes access up there a real PITA...
I was wondering if that could work. Some questions if you don't mind.
On the 2024 how did you get the cover that plugs the switch hole off? By "crack in the dash" do you mean the switch hole?
I already own the following tools, do you think any of these can work without taking the whole dash...
